Does this signal a turning point in the long-ignored possibility of a Sen. Barack Obama drug/sex scandal? Also, has anyone else noticed that the Obama camp hasn’t debunked Sinclair’s claims on its new Web site devoted specifically to debunking rumors about Obama?

So sad. NBC is in utter shock.

Judge Robertson Sets Status Hearing In Palfrey Case

Greetings:

As you all know, Jeane died on May 1, 2008, in an apparent suicide.

As a result, Judge Robertson was required to dismiss the criminal charges against her thus ending the criminal suit. See: Order of May 20, 2008.

The dismissal of the criminal case lifts the stay of the civil forfeiture of Jeane’s seized assets — which total over $1.5 million — and that civil case will now proceed. That stay order was entered to prevent Jeane from being able: “to obtain an impermissible advantage and to prejudice the Government’s position in this criminal prosecution.”

Judge Robertson has set a status conference for Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in Courtroom 23A. At that time, the Judge will address the substitution for Jeane by a representative of Jeane’s estate to contest the forfeiture of Jeane’s assets.

That contest could ultimately result in a complete re-trial of the matters raised in the criminal case with the significant difference that the rules of civil procedure would allow broad discovery of information that the government was able to block from use in the criminal matter. That information includes, among other data, the names of 855 customers of the Jeane’s escort service and their telephone numbers saved for — but oddly not used — in the criminal trial and heretofore never publicly revealed which are presently in the custody of the undersigned.

Our read on this: The case lives on, and quite a few people should still be on edge. We hope Jeane is watching.

Howard Dean may hope that the “healing will begin today,” but two blocks away from the northwest Washington Marriott where the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee is meeting right now to try to figure out Florida and Michigan, the Hillary protesters are occupying an utterly alternate (and healing-free) universe: a universe in which one of the big lawn rally’s speakers yells that the Democratic Party no longer is in the business of “promoting equality and fairness for all”; in which a Hillary supporter with two poodles shouts, “Howard Dean is a leftist freak!”; in which a man exhibits a sign that reads “At least slaves were counted as 3/5ths a Citizen” and shows Dean whipping handcuffed people; and in which Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who took to YouTube to allege that Barack Obama had oral sex with him in the back of a limousine in 1999, is one of the belles of the ball.

Larry Sinclair, the Chicago man whose role in a scandal involving presidential candidate Barack Obama has burned up the supermarket tabloids, will be in Washington DC this weekend to attend a public meeting of the Democratic National Committee’s rules committee.

Mr. Sinclair charges that in 1999, then-state-legislator Obama joined Sinclair for several bouts of cocaine use and illicit sex.  Sinclair further charges that the Christmas day murder of the choirmaster at Obama’s church, Donald Young is connected to these scandals.  Sinclair has been in contact with the Chicago police regarding a series of phone calls Young, purporting to represent the Obama campaign, made to Sinclair in the weeks leading up to Young’s murder.  Sinclair will release the name or testimony of a witness to Obama’s illicit 1999 within weeks.

Sinclair will be available at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel on Saturday, before, during and after the DNC rules meeting, for any media organization that wish to interview him.  If you would prefer to schedule an interview for Sunday, please reply to veritasfederalmedia@yahoo.com .

I was one of Dennis’ first friends here in Washington. One of the few who could talk in detail with him about high school wrestling over the occasional mid-morning drink (I grappled JV back in high school). From what I hear, he was one of the most hands-on and effective wrestling coaches of his day. And I recognize that retirement can be expensive and a man needs to make a buck.

But going to work for transgender-friendly Dickstein and Shapiro? Well, I know I said I’d let bygones be bygones and focus on the present but my friend Stanley Rubin has told me stories about that operation that would make your blood curdle. And even though I fully endorse John McCain, I remember (like I remember Amalek) the dirty tricks campaign waged against my candidate at the time, Rudy.

Dennis, come on, buddy. I know you can do better. I defended you in the Mark Foley scandal, and now you’re just perpetuating stereotypes of the GOP.  We’re going to have enough trouble this fall defeating Obama and heading off another Democrat landslide.
