DCRTV reports that Rush Limbaugh “will be taking a break from his anti-Hillary Clinton campaign to pay a visit to DC on Wednesday evening. That’s when a motorcade will wisk “El Rushbo” from his private jet at Dulles to the 60th anniversary party for NBC’s Meet the Press at the new Newseum near Capitol Hill.” Which is sort of odd, since Limbaugh has made his disgust for Tim Russert known many times over. Of course, we love to play with our enemies, too, so we shouldn’t talk.

News from the Sault: “Wolf emergence unpopular with Cisler Center crowd,”
reports The Evening News’ Jack Storey.

I learned that some Sault residents apparently dislike urban people:

“‘Urban people want predators and raptors in the rural areas but they don’t want them in the cities,’ one man said. Another suggested trapping Upper Peninsula wolves and shipping them to the south as a cure for a rising rate of car-deer collisions.”

And others like Google:

“To a handful of people who voiced fear of wolf attacks on humans, a man demanded a count on the number of such attacks. A detractor said his ‘Google search’ turned up a report of a black man killed by wolves in Canada in 1989.”

Today, Wonkette points out that author Sarah Vowell (I interviewed her in 2003) sold out for playing a cartoon character in Disney’s The Incredibles. Um, duh, Wonkette. Like you wouldn’t lend your voice to Powerpuff Girls: The Movie, if you were asked.

The guy with the finger in his ice cream wouldn’t return it, even though doctors say they might have been able to reattach it. He wanted to keep it as evidence, so he could sue the store. Experts say that there were many other ways to lawfully note that the finger had been in his ice cream, while still returning the finger. Public opinion is now turning against him, reports the AP. This has definitely been a bad year for people who find fingers in their food.
