As ever, it’s still popular to bash Star Jones, this time because she said the war on terror amounts to a pissing contest between male egos. But people, look, there are bigger reasons to bash. In yesterday’s Wahington Post Express, Vicky Hallett had an exclusive Q&A with “Star Lite.” We learned that Star’s parents are actually from the DC metro area and she did her undergrad work at American University. Her favorite AU moment? Trick-or-treating on Embassy Row. (She’s always had a sweet tooth, we’re guessing.)

But here’s the kicker. When asked what she does when she comes to town to visit her family, she responded, “I’m a big Wal-Mart, Kmart shopper. We go to Waldorf and eat at the Red Lobster.”

Could you “pay less,” Ms. Star Jones?
