Blame it on hammer toe, blame it on a bad fashion sense, but no matter what you blame it on, please note that World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz has been seen lurking around foreign countries in holey socks. (And you thought Rosalyn Carter was bad for wearing that old cloth coat.)

A local blogger says that even if the former Deputy Secretary of Defense is trying to lend credibility to his fiscally conservative roots, this it just not the way to make an impression on the rest of the world.

We must insist that someone - anyone - buy that man some new socks — as the Republican Girls Gone Wild will tell you, they’re always on sale at Wal-Mart. That, or he’s gonna have to start coloring his big toe with magic markers.
