By now you’ve heard about Barbara Walters‘ affair with Sen. Edward Brooke. Brooke, married and in his early 50s during the couple’s dalliances, hooked up with Walters multiple times in the 1970s. Walters is 10 years younger, and photos taken from the time period make the news a little less bizarre.

Oprah, we hear, is licking her chops over the exclusive tell-all Walters interview that will air Tuesday. Will it help revive the talk show’s struggling ratings or will it be another issue that upsets Oprah fans, who are increasingly seeing the diva in black and white?

The talk show host hasn’t made too many missteps on her way to the top (besides, possibly, her self-indulgent magazine) but insiders say she is increasingly regretting her highly visible endorsement of Barack Obama. Many of her viewers have tuned Oprah out in favor of Ellen DeGeneres.

I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax. Oprah has given us Swartzenegger and Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope, while calling Unions “special interest groups” that need to be done away with.

Obama votes with Bush constantly funding this terrible endless war. Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barak Obama because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, hollywood and dieting!

When Americans find out that Obama backs right wing corporate racist anti worker bullshit, they will not vote for him, and the victory will go to the most racist right wing republican ever…. Mccain, who is a fascist! That the culinary service workers in vegas have promised barak their vote,( he is anti union in his votes) over edwards, who is a pro-union man, just proves how stupid americans are and how they can be tricked so easily by the color of a person’s skin…exactly what MLK hated!

Obama doesn’t even back reproductive rights for any woman! It is historical that Oprah Winfrey, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!

Many of Oprah Winfrey’s fans are sounding off on her Web site, complaining that the talk show host should keep her political views to herself, and that she’s inflaming racial issues. “Oprah,” CNN quotes one as saying, “count me as tuned out for now.” Another writes, “It’s a real turn off for a lot of your fans.” “She has crossed a line and lost my trust completely,” another adds. Others are saying that Oprah’s pro-Barack Obama speeches have pitted whites against blacks. “Winfrey has artfully begun her stump speeches alongside Obama with a negative racial tone,” one angry commenter wrote.

Talking in a fake-sounding preacher voice over the weekend, Oprah Winfrey failed to even half fill the University of South Carolina’s 80,000-seat football stadium, where she spoke this weekend on Barack Obama’s behalf. Approximately 30,000 people showed up. Campaign organizers had hoped that Winfrey would pack the house. The only thing we saw her pack, however, were the pounds. Also, the bags under her eyes are growing ever more distracting. Get some rest, girl!

Due to strong interest from soccer moms who are hoping Oprah will bestow some of her favorite things on them, which this year, incidentally, included a refrigerator with a built-in LCD TV, the Barack Obama campaign has been forced to move a weekend campaign event featuring the TV talker from an 18,000-seat venue to the University of South Carolina’s 80,000-seat football stadium. Really. And you know she’s obviously getting fat again when she needs a TV attached to the fridge.
