Montgomery Blair Sibley, the former lawyer for alleged “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey has provided Big Head DC with his initial comments on the guilty verdict rendered against her on Tuesday.

Sibley said he’s “disappointed, but not surprised” by the verdict, and added that he has not yet spoken to Palfrey. He does anticipate that there will be an appeal.

Preston Burton, Palfrey’s current lawyer who once represented Monica Lewinsky, has instructed his client to remain mum on the verdict, but she did let out an audible gasp when it was read in court.

Palfrey was found guilty of racketeering, money laundering and two counts of using the mail for illegal purposes. Sen. David Vitter is believed to have used what Palfrey has always maintained is a “fantasy” escort business.

Burton called no witnesses in Palfrey’s defense, and she did not take the stand.

Some overeager entrepreneurs, hoping to make a load of quick cash based on recent sexist comments shouted at Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail, are the latest to jump on the candidate’s politically-ailing back.

The creators of DirtyWord.net are already selling shirts that cost over $20 with the slogan “Iron My Shirt” printed on the front. The phrase refers to words yelled at Clinton during by hecklers on Monday who were forcibly removed from one of her speeches.

The shirts are available in both male and female styles and sizes. And Monica Lewinsky should be happy, too. A classic thong, priced at $12.99, is available featuring the phrase as well.

Word is dropping that former Illinois Rep. Henry Hyde has passed away today at the age of 83. He served in Congress from 1975 to 2007. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom earlier this month.

Hyde became infamous as a hypocrite during the impeachment proceedings toward President Bill Clinton after Salon.com published a story, “This Hypocrite Broke Up My Family,” which indicated that from 1965 to 1969, Hyde had an extramarital sexual affair with Cherie Snodgrass. Hyde had readily pursued the impeachment of Clinton based on his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

At that time, Snodgrass was married to another man with whom she had had three children. “The Snodgrasses divorced in 1967, according to Wikipedia. “The affair ended when Snodgrass’ husband confronted Mrs. Hyde.”

Although Hyde was forty-one years old and married at the time of the affair, he dismissed it as one of his “youthful indiscretions.”

I know, I know, you roll your eyes, you yawn, you wonder how anyone could possibly care about such things, true or not, when there is so much at stake in this upcoming election. But then you see what is going on with today’s Trent Lott/gay hustler rumors, this week’s Hillary/lesbian aide rumors, and you remember that the ghost of Karl Rove still haunts us.”

The London Times, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, is now covering tawdry allegations that Hillary Clinton may be a lesbian. An article published over the weekend shines new light on a rumored Clinton affair with her Muslim aide Huma Abedin.

Matt Drudge picked up the story over the weekend via a banner headline. It was Drudge who first thrust the Bill Clinton / Monica Lewinsky scandal into the mainstream.

While Hillary publicly denied being a lesbian during an interview in September, she was not asked about being bisexual, nor about her relationship with Abedin. Her support among gay leaders is said to be at an all-time high.

You know that story the LA Times is rumored to be holding, which apparently details some devastating information about a leading presidential candidate’s private life? Well, Ron Rosenbaum, the writer who first detailed the existence of the story now seems to be indicating, or at least not denying, that the story may be about an affair Bill Clinton carried on after the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Which certainly wouldn’t be good news for Hillary Clinton, if that were the case. After all, can one run a successful bid for president while showing up concurrently in divorce court, too? It hasn’t been done before, but maybe she’s the one to pull it off.

A couple of women that Clinton has been closely linked with since his last oral imbroglio are socialite Lisa Belzberg and Canadian politician Belinda Stronach.

Judge Gladys Kessler today entered an order permitting Montgomery Blair Sibley to substitute for Preston Burton as Deborah Jeane Palfrey’s counsel in the government’s criminal case against her. Palfrey had long been wanting to switch to Blair, who had been representing her as her civil lawyer, because they see more eye-to-eye on how her defense should proceed. Burton once represented Monica Lewinsky during the days of the Bill Clinton blow job scandal.

On another “DC Madam” front, attorneys for ABC’s Brian Ross, the New York Post’s Cindy Adams and Smoking Gun editor Bill Bastone have all claimed that their clients didn’t get served with the subpoenas to testify in Palfrey’s case, which is a pre-requisite for the court to obtain jurisdiction over their persons.

But that’s not quite the full story: “My process server did serve individuals at each of the companies where these three worked as my process server was not allowed in to actually serve these three,” Sibley tells Big Head DC. “Hence, I am now subpoenaing these three’s home addresses and I will have them served where they can’t hide behind their security guards.”

Palfrey ultimately wants each of the high-profile witnesses to testify about how they received under seal information regarding her case that did not originate from her, or her legal team.

We never cease to be amazed by the revelations that bubble up in the wild world of DC blogging. In addition to claiming a relationship with the son of a man who was killed by the Unabomber, a blogger is now saying that she was once with the son of Linda Tripp, the one-time confidante of Monica Lewinsky.

“I took her son to a formal freshman year of college,” she writes. ”He was all over the news with her and the amount of calls I received by friends was outstanding. ‘Didn’t you…Did you see…He is HOT!!’ was the usual.’”

Wow! Who would have guessed that Linda Tripp is capable of bearing handsome offspring?

Recently uncovered documents stored in a public archive at the University of Tennessee reveal that during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Fred Thompson sent a risqué note to former President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff, joking that he shared the former President’s notorious taste in cigars.

As Washington is abuzz with the news that GOP Sen. David Vitter once used the “DC Madam’s” escort service, the ears of his wife, Wendy Vitter, must be ringing. In 2000, you see, Ms. Wendy was quoted in a news article focused on Bill Clinton’s marital infidelities.

“I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” she told a reporter regarding whether she could forgive her husband if she learned he’d cheated as Hillary Clinton had done after Monica Lewinsky became a household name. “I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me.”

According to the Washington Post (today at least), we guess she meant an apology? Unless, that is, Sen. Vitter was just talking to those escorts…
