UPDATE, 12/5/07: Commenters have been asking what the lady who Everson cheated with looks like, so we’ve updated the original post to include a picture of Paige Roberts. She’s the executive director of the Southeast Mississippi Chapter of the Red Cross, and she used to work in TV. She’s married with two kids. And she deserves just as much scrutiny as Everson, don’t you think?

ORIGINAL, 11/28/07: Mark Everson, the president and CEO of the American Red Cross, has resigned because he engaged in a personal relationship with an employee.

“He was engaged in a personal relationship with a subordinate female employee, agency spokeswoman Suzy C. DeFrancis said,” according to WaPo. “A senior executive at the Red Cross informed the board of directors about the affair about 10 days ago and the board asked Everson to resign, DeFrancis said.”

Everson is married and has two kids. He previously served as the commissioner of the IRS.
