In a surprise move, you chose a real doozy for your hottest female off-air journalist. You picked a tried and true Big Head DC hater, Liz Gorman, who takes pictures for our main competitor, Wonkette!!! You guys are definitely rascals!

Liz hasn’t been reached for comment yet, but we know she just loves the picture at right, so we decided to run it again!

Coming in a close second and third were the Politico’s Anne Schroeder and MSNBC’s Tammy Haddad, respectively. Yeah. We guess we can see that. They certainly both groove to their own wacky beat.

Now, be sure to get your nominations in early for next year when we perform this silly little stunt all over again. That’s hawt!

We dunno if it’s the heat, or what, but Liz Gorman, Wonkette’s official photographer, got really mad at us yesterday when we asked you whether she looks like Avril Lavigne.

“That’s obviously an awful picture of me,” she wrote in. “And since you are on the Internet Rob, I’m sure you could take two seconds to find a better one. Google it, bitches. But speaking of snarky, how am I? Because I take pictures?”

While there’s a lot of debate going on over whether Liz Gorman is hot, no one is denying that Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton (who’s palled around with John Cusack), is smokin’. While she didn’t necessarily want to appear in the current issue of Vogue, somehow her high cheekbones and flawless skin (sans airbrushing, Liz) helped her fit right in:

Of course, Vogue has always been good to the Clinton camp, helping Hillary herself look quite statuesque for her own 1998 spread. And, please recall, Anna Wintour did not allow any pink suits during that shoot either.

Recently, it seems, she attended an art party where the guy above literally cut off his foreskin. And now the wait is over. Here come the ladies.

In a surprise move, you chose a real doozy for your hottest female on-air. You picked the delight that is former CNN lead anchor Judy Woodruff, who’s now a special correspondent for the PBS NewsHour. You like her hair, you like her body, you like her charm. We hear you. When she sat down for an interview with us in 2004, we couldn’t see a wrinkle. And we’re happy to tell you that we haven’t heard a peep about any recent visits to any Bethesda plastic surgeons. She’s definitely a gracious dame, and we’re proud of all of you for thinking outside the box on this one.

As for hottest female off-air, the results weren’t even close. Liz Gorman, freelance photog extraordinaire, more than doubled your votes for the runner-up, Laura Sessions Stepp, the famous WaPo wingman promoter.

Where does Liz buy her clothes? Who does her hair? Does she have a stylist?

Yesterday, the NY Times offered a startling peek inside the increasingly pessimistic world of Nick Denton, the blog mogul behind the Gawker empire (which includes Wonkette).

The article raised more questions than it answered about the recent Women’s Wear Daily scoop, which noted that David Lat has been lured away from the DC polisnark blog by the burgeoning media empress Elizabeth Spiers:

“Better to sober up now, before the end of the party,” [Denton] said in announcing the realignment. As of last Friday, Sploid, a tabloid-infested site built on screen shots, and Screenhead, an aggregator of video clips, were put up for sale. Editors at Gawker, Wonkette, Gizmodo, and Gridskipper were moved or replaced. At a time when mainstream media companies are madly baking their own piece of blog pie, Mr. Denton was summarily executing underperformers. 

We highly doubt that Lat is an underperformer, but that is an implication one could garner from the article, which also notes that Denton “has a massive noggin and a quiet ego to match.” Sounds like a man after our own heart (head).

Meanwhile, team Wonkette has raised its collective nose skyward — ignoring the Times report altogether — instead putting a happy face on their remaining days together with a gay-old-time report on Congressional baseball — including lovely pics from our favorite Wonkette reporter, Liz Gorman.

We heard once that behind every successful man is a strong woman. Well, behind two men like David Lat and Alex Pareene — the guys who write Wonkette — there’s a Liz Gorman.

They call her the intrepid girl reporter who takes photos for the site. We call her a Goddess. They think she’s smart. We think she smells good. They think she likes taking pictures at boring political events. We think she likes taking pictures of naked guys.

Liz was nice enough to sit down (at her computer) for an extra special interview with your very own Big Head Rob. Here, world, is our dramatic dance:

BHR: When did you start working for Wonkette?

LG: I started shooting for Wonkette in February. I contacted Alex and David after they made a post about needing interns, in which I mentioned that I was also a photographer. They checked out my blog and decided that they wanted to actually pay me.

BHR: They barely pay you enough attention, if you ask us. Is that because you’re a girl and you have cooties or something?

LG: I just really like taking awkward photos of drunk people. And, I mean, who doesn’t want to get into the Competitive Enterprise Institute Awards Dinner? That’s a hot ticket, my friend. I was also unemployed after leaving my job at The Diner in Adams Morgan. But now I’m back there, because Wonkette doesn’t pay me enough (attention or money).

BHR: How much do they pay you?
