Jan. 17, a.m.: Conservative rag, Insight, published by the Washington Times, smears Hillary Clinton; says she plans to attack Barack Obama’s religious roots.
Jan 17, p.m.: All liberal news outlets discredit the story.
Jan. 18, a.m.: Remaining news outlets, sans conservative ones, also discredit the story.
Jan. 18 - present: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, FOX News stand by the story even as both Hil and Barack say it’s utterly false.
Yesterday: Jeffrey T. Kuhner, editor of Insight, tells NY Times that the original article is as “solid as solid can be.” Declines to say who reported the story, as well as who the reporter’s sources are. Kuhner says Insight stopped using bylines “to encourage contributions from reporters for major news organizations.” He also notes his disappointment that Matt Drudge didn’t link to the story.
Today: NY Times article is published.
Later today: Insight will decry NY Time’s liberal bias.
Tomorrow: Original story will finally be linked to on Drudge.
Tomorrow, p.m.: Apocalypse.
