Big Head DC has obtained several more photos of alleged child sex predator James Michael McHaney, as well as new information about his past.

The accused would-be child molester who was fired by Sen. Maria Cantwell last week actually went by the name Mike McHaney to his friends and family. Being arrested for allegedly wanting to have sex with a 13-year-old boy is not the first shady event to occur in the 28-year-old McHaney’s life.

“The best thing I like about Mikey is that he will stop at nothing for Dick,” one 41-year-old gentlemen who apparently knows McHaney well wrote on his Friendster page in 2003. “He’ll drive Dick, work hard for Dick, stay up late for Dick and is even on call for Dick. Apart from that Mikey’s fun-loving attitude is contagious. Check him out in his square swim trunks.”

Indeed, swim trunks have long been a part of McHaney’s life. He was the manager of the boy’s crew team in high school, and also managed his school’s swim/diving team.

“He was not openly gay in high school, but everyone knew or could tell there was something weird about him, just the way he interacted with people,” one high school acquaintance told Big Head DC. “I never would have expected him to attempt to lure someone so young, but then again you just never know with some people.”

McHaney, who is currently being held in federal custody, lists The Tonight Show as one of his favorite TV shows. It’s also known that he’s fond of Desperate Housewives.

Big Head DC has gotten our dirty little paws on James McHaney’s Facebook.com page, and the info therein paints a complicated picture of the former staffer for Sen. Maria Cantwell, who was fired on Friday after allegedly trying to set up a sex session with a 13-year-old boy.

McHaney, a Little Rock, Ark., native who graduated in 2002 from Kenyon College with a political science degree, describes his political views as “liberal” on the page. His interests include “cooking, going out, drinking and politics,” and he listens to techno and trance music. His favorite TV show is Desperate Housewives. (You know there’s something wrong with him based on that information alone.)

In one eerily omniscient recent message from a friend, McHaney is advised to “Watch out for Larry Craig!” And, under “Politicians Mike McHaney supports,” he lists his boss.
