Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama proudly display their ages on their Digg.com candidate profile pages, but John McCain’s profile on the popular Internet news aggregator seems to be missing something.

McCain will be 72 years old in August.

“We’re going to round the bases,” exclaimed Hillary Clinton to a crowd at a minor league baseball game today in Indiana. “We’re going to score a lot of runs and we’re going to feel really good about the home team, namely the American team, the team we’re all a part of!”

For once she wasn’t taking a swing at Barack Obama.

nader.jpgRalph Nader, the presidential candidate no one is talking about, isn’t too happy with Dems right now.

Nader’s official campaign blog referred to Dems as “part of the system of corporate control and domination” and earlier, the site even called it “shameful” for progressives to support Dems over him.

Medea Benjamin, a former supporter of Nader and controversial political activist, was specifically targeted by Nader for her recent Democratic support.

Benjamin responded to the allegations by asking Nader to remain respectful, but his campaign mocked her for using the word respect “three times in one paragraph.”

The Rodney Dangerfield of candidates blasting someone for asking for a little respect? Ironic.

What do you think, loyal Big Head DC readers? Do Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton inspire you or is this heated contest showing that one, or maybe both, lack souls?

On a recent taping of long-running legal show The People’s Court, TMZ editor and lawyer Harvey Levin asked an unidentified man in the New York City audience what he thinks in a case about a car’s transmission.

Out of nowhere the man replied, “The people of Belgium for Obama.”

A disgusted Levin gave a dirty look to the camera, glared at the man and angrily said, “What the hell? Do I look like Chris Matthews to you?”

It’s safe to say that this skirmish certainly didn’t make Levin’s legs quiver.

Rudy2012While the rest of us are still focused on 2008, Rudy Giuliani is already taking contributions for the 2012 election year at JoinRudy2012.com. Is it a sign Giuliani is worried about John McCain’s chances against Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama?

For you cybersquatters out there, JoinRudy2016.com is still available but you better act quick. Word is that Rudy may soon throw his hat in the ring for that one, too.

“If we were under the Republican system, which is more like the Electoral College, she’d have a 300-delegate lead here,” Bill Clinton told The Washington Post today. “I mean, Sen. McCain is already the nominee because they chose a system to produce that result, and we don’t have a nominee here, because the Democrats chose a system that prevents that result.”

“I’m sure a bunch of college kids are devastated this morning after the realization that well-articulated non-specific messages of change weren’t enough to somehow put away the the candidate who is the living embodiment of The Establishment,” writes Alex Balk. “‘But I voted,’ you can hear them wail. Me? I’m pretty sanguine. It’s going to be a long slog to the nomination, and the reservations I’ve had thus far about Obama are pretty much that while it’s great to inspire and symbolism is important, particularly with where we find ourselves in the world’s eyes right now, you’re not gonna make it through four years on hope alone. Audacity, maybe, but not hope. If there’s an upside to yesterday’s results (apart from the fact that he wasn’t completely crushed, which was my worst fear) it’s that Obama has to come down from the mountaintop now and sell something other than being the transformative candidate. Which can only be good for him. As for the kids, it’s probably better that they learn the lesson early. I hope a couple of defeats aren’t enough to keep them down. This is a generation that really doesn’t know about not getting its way, so it’d be nice if this turned into a teachable moment, rather than an excuse for them to turn back to their steady diet of Xbox and date rape.”
