Update, 1:13 p.m.:

Big Head DC has received a copy of the official November 4, 1999 Illinois General Assembly transcript. The transcript proves that Sen. Barack Obama was absent from the assembly that day due to “personal business.” That date happens to fall near the same time period that Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who claims he used drugs and had a sexual encounter with Obama, alleges he met in secret with the politician.

A November 2007 Politico report indicates that Obama has repeatedly “dodged questions…about releasing papers from his eight years as an Illinois state senator, and his campaign has not answered records requests from the state’s two largest newspapers.”

Still, the publication noted, “Obama’s campaign has prodded Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) to make available additional records of her communications during her husband’s presidency.”

Later, during a Meet the Press appearance, moderator Tim Russert asked Obama about the missing records. “We did not keep those records,” Obama said at first.

Then Obama changed his answer, beginning with the statement, “Well, let me be clear.” He went on to say, “The stuff that I did not keep has to do with, for example, my schedule. I didn’t have a schedule. I was a state senator. I wasn’t intending to have the Barack Obama State Senate Library. I didn’t have 50 or 500 people to, to help me archive these issues.”

Obama’s campaign has not responded to requests for comment regarding the politician’s whereabouts on Thursday, November 4, 1999 or the weekend thereafter.

Gordon Barland, a respected polygraph expert, has finished reviewing the Ed Gelb-produced polygraph test administered recently on Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who claims he used drugs and had a sexual encounter with Sen. Barack Obama in 1999.

Big Head DC has reviewed Barland’s report, which WhiteHouse.com originally commissioned yet failed to post, and Barland indicates there were technical flaws in procedure (including unnecessary interruptions), irregularities in the way the polygraph device was hooked up to Sinclair’s arm, and “uncommon” recording abnormalities involving Sinclair’s truthfulness about Obama’s alleged cocaine use.

While Barland’s review agrees with Gelb’s “deception” analysis of Sinclair’s sex claims, Barland’s findings regarding Sinclair’s alleged cocaine use with Obama were more murky. In fact, a computer algorithm called PolyScore found “no deception indicated” regarding Sinclair’s claim that Obama used drugs with him in the late 1990s. Ultimately, Barland said he agreed with Gelb’s analysis, despite the divergent PolyScore result.

Sinclair’s conclusion after reading the report is that he may be partially vindicated, and he says he believes the earlier “deception” result might be attributable to the poor testing conditions provided by WhiteHouse.com.

“I think the manner in which this exam was done is questionable,” Sinclair told Big Head DC upon reviewing the results on Tuesday afternoon. “I feel that knowing my medical history, Gelb intentionally prolonged the interview process that he claimed was necessary to form a list of questions, when in fact he already had the list of question printed and sitting on his desk. They knew I cannot sit, stand, walk, or lie down for extended periods of time, and I do believe this was intentional.”

Sinclair also said that “all of my treating doctors will confirm my normal blood pressure always runs on the low side as does my breathing.” Polygraph manuals note that people with medical issues like those of Sinclair can be difficult to test accurately via a lie detector.

NOTE: Help Big Head DC’s Investigative Team Grow!

WhiteHouse.com entered into an agreement to pay Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who claims he used drugs and had a sexual encounter with Sen. Barack Obama in 1999, a certain amount of money before Sinclair agreed to take a polygraph for the site, but now the site has reneged on the deal. This new twist is revealed within an e-mail sent on Tuesday from WhiteHouse.com founder Dan Parisi to Sinclair, which refers to Big Head DC’s Monday interview with Sinclair.

“I saw this interview this morning and posted your response in regards to another polygraph test,” Parisi writes in the e-mail. “It shows that you are doing another polygraph with results in this afternoon in violation of our agreement. I have instructed bank to stop payment on the $20,000 check this morning. The $10,000 in checks going to the charities are not effected (sic) and will be paid.”

Sinclair has vowed to take legal action against Parisi, if the check is not honored. “No polygraph has been done and you changed the terms of the agreement on your own on 2-21-08 so your refusing to honor your payment sheds light on your intent,” Sinclair wrote in an e-mail to Parisi today. “You have no grounds to stop payment on what you think might happen when it has not happened.”

Several claims WhiteHouse.com has made regarding the posting of the Sinclair polygraph, which was administered by controversial polygraph expert Ed Gelb, have not been honored to date. For instance, videos were supposed to be posted showing the administration of the test, but the site now claims the “incident needs to be laid to rest,” and plans to post the videos have apparently been scrapped.

Parisi and others associated with his business have not yet returned multiple requests for comment.

obama1.jpgLarry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who has accused Sen. Barack Obama of illicit drug use and of having a sexual encounter with him in 1999, has been deceitful, according to results of a polygraph released on Sunday.

The polygraph was performed by Ed Gelb, a world-renowned expert in this arena, and is being examined by a second polygraph expert. Sinclair has already passed a drug test that proves he was not using any substances that could have affected the outcome of the polygraph.

“There were two polygraph tests administered by Dr. Gelb on Friday, the first polygraph asked Mr. Sinclair on his sex claims,” according to WhiteHouse.com, the site that paid for the test and oversaw its administration. “The second polygraph test asked Mr. Sinclair on the drug use claims. There was deception indicated in both tests.”

With such high stakes riding on the outcome, some have questioned whether polygraph results can be trusted. Many respected polygraph experts, however, say that lie detector tests are up to 95 percent accurate and polygraph results are admissible in several states. Polygraphs are also used by the U.S. government in carrying out certain security clearance procedures, as well as in determining parole for some criminals.

Others have questioned the motives of WhiteHouse.com, suggesting that the site’s owner may have sinister political goals. Dan Parisi, the owner, has adamantly maintained in statements on the site and in private conversations that this investigation has not been politically motivated.

WhiteHouse.com originally offered $100,000 to Sinclair if he took the test and the results were positive. Sinclair later agreed to a $10,000 payment and is in the process of donating the money to charities. Sinclair claims he did not come forward with the story for financial gain.

The mainstream media to date has been slow to cover the Sinclair allegations, although several respected journalists from newspapers including The New York Times are believed to be investigating. FOX News personality Bill O’Reilly, without mentioning Sinclair’s name, has hinted about possibly covering the story at a later date, and the Globe tabloid has already featured an interview with Sinclair.

Sinclair’s story first came to national attention via a video he posted on YouTube in January, but he has been making the claims in private for several months — and, possibly, for several years. Sinclair recently said in an online interview that he hadn’t revealed the story in a wide-scale manner previously because Obama had not been Sinclair’s own state or national senator. Now that Obama has the opportunity to be president of the United States, Sinclair says he believes that all American citizens should know about the alleged encounter as they make their voting decisions.

On February 11, Sinclair filed a lawsuit in a Minnesota U.S. District Court claiming that Obama, as well as his campaign adviser David Axelrod and others in the Democratic National Committee have been working behind the scenes to defame Sinclair’s reputation. A blogger posting on the official Obama campaign Web site and other Obama supporters have claimed that Sinclair is mentally ill.

Other Obama supporters have maintained that Sen. Hillary Clinton is somehow behind Sinclair’s accusations. Sinclair adamantly denies this claim, and supporters close to the Clinton camp have told Big Head DC that the campaign is in no way affiliated with Sinclair and that he has made these claims on his own.

Obama has not denied the accusations to date, nor has the campaign responded to Sinclair’s lawsuit.

sinclair-and-gelb.jpgWhiteHouse.com has received the results from Larry Sinclair’s drug test earlier than expected. Sinclair, the Minnesota man who has accused Sen. Barack Obama of doing drugs and have a sexual encounter with him in 1999, passed with flying colors.

“He was tested for any and all chemical substances including illegal drugs that could cause an inaccurate polygraph test result,” according to the site. “There were no traces of any such substances found.”Also, the chief expert who conducted Sinclair’s polygraph has been revealed via a picture on the site (reprinted above left) as Ed Gelb, the former president of the American Polygraph Association.

Gelb has conducted several major polygraphs over the last thirty years, including those of the parents of JonBenet Ramsey and O.J. Simpson.

WhiteHouse.com is now waiting for a second polygraph expert to verify Gelb’s results.
