After we learned about former Sen. Dean Barkley’s embarrassingly kinky (and shockingly real) Match.com dating profile, we just had to to ask Deborah Jeane Palfrey whether she recalled the skinny dip-loving politico ever dialing up her now-defunct Pamela Martin & Associates escort service.

Nope, said she with a chuckle. But after reviewing his advertsised goods, she did say that Barkley and she do share “a lot in common.”

“I absolutely love Hawaii and good steak,” joked Palfrey. “Maybe, I should respond to his ad.”

Nah… We don’t think it could ever work out. Palfrey just doesn’t seem like the Star Trek type to us, and the outta-this-world Barkley is a HUGE William Shatner fan.

Michael B. Brodkorb, a writer at “Minnesota Democrats Exposed,” has just exposed what’s probably the most kinky Match.com profile ever penned by a former Senator of the U.S. Congress. Yes, the nation’s top politicos are now using both MySpace AND Match.com!

In his love letter to the ladies (we presume), former Independent Sen. Dean Barkley lists his turn-ons as “erotica,” “skinny dipping,” and “public displays of affection.” He also says he carries ”a few extra pounds,” he very much enjoys cigars, and he even likes gerbils…

Gross. Way TMI, dude. 

The Minnesota Monitor has now confirmed with Barkley that the dating Web page is, in fact, his own. “Barkley, who has been divorced for about a year, joked that ‘the site is real, and now my political career is over,’” the newspaper reports.

Still, Big Head DC hears that Barkley is continuing to mull a run for Congress in the 6th Congressional District in 2008 against incumbent GOP Rep. Michelle Bachmann.

Hey, a lot of voters use Match.com, after all.
