Big Head DC has gotten our dirty little paws on James McHaney’s Facebook.com page, and the info therein paints a complicated picture of the former staffer for Sen. Maria Cantwell, who was fired on Friday after allegedly trying to set up a sex session with a 13-year-old boy.

McHaney, a Little Rock, Ark., native who graduated in 2002 from Kenyon College with a political science degree, describes his political views as “liberal” on the page. His interests include “cooking, going out, drinking and politics,” and he listens to techno and trance music. His favorite TV show is Desperate Housewives. (You know there’s something wrong with him based on that information alone.)

In one eerily omniscient recent message from a friend, McHaney is advised to “Watch out for Larry Craig!” And, under “Politicians Mike McHaney supports,” he lists his boss.

“A federal grand jury has indicted prominent attorney Richard “Dickie” Scruggs on criminal charges that he and other lawyers engaged in a scheme to bribe a judge,” the AP reports. Scruggs is the brother-in-law of Sen. Trent Lott, who abruptly announced his resignation from office on Monday with little explanation. A gay escort later alleged on Big Head DC a possible relationship with the soon-to-be ex-senator.

Some who are hearing the news of the disappearance of dominatrix Leola McConnell, who claims to have had a bisexual affair with President George W. Bush in the 1980s, are drawing parallels to the case of a woman who filed a 2002 lawsuit against the president, claiming he raped her, and who was subsequently found dead in 2003.

“Margie D. Schoedinger of Missouri City, Texas, filed a lawsuit against George W. Bush in Fort Bend County Court,” according to a report from the Fort Bend Star. ”In her suit she alleged, ‘race based harassment and individual sex crimes committed against her and her husband.’”

The case never went to court because Schoedinger was soon found dead in her home with a single gunshot wound to the head. Women rarely use guns when committing suicide.

Jackson Thoreau, a journalist who talked to Schoedinger about her case before her death, has reported that she was surprised her rape allegations hadn’t been covered more in the mainstream press because “it is true…People have to be accountable for what they do, and that’s why I’m pursuing it.”

Sad news has come our way regarding D.C. gossip columnist Karen Feld and her beloved poodle Campari. The duo was left badly beaten on Sept. 26 after a service for a dearly departed aunt, where, witnesses say, three men attacked her and her puppy, leaving Karen with bruises that are still visible today and Campari with an apparent concussion.

One person who saw the scuffle described it as “brutal.”

The writer says the case is now in the hands of her “very competent attorney.” And she vows to move forward: “I am a survivor and will survive this horrific episode as well,” she told us. “Survivors do what they do best — survive.”

It’s not entirely clear what motivated the attack, but we’re on the case.

Cops in D.C. and Baltimore are on a manhunt for a man they say has been robbing multiple transgender people throughout the area. Lingerie, lipstick and wigs have reportedly been stolen, Big Head DC has learned.

Authorities say the same man is responsible for robbing at least four transgender people in recent weeks. They’ve added that the robber frequents known transgender areas in Baltimore and the District.

In one instance, police have said said, the robber shot one of his victims. “Once at the scene, officers found a 21-year-old transgender man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper thigh,” according to local news reports. “The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.”

That victim has recovered and reportedly still looks fabulous. Read more…

According to Air America Radio late night host Jon Elliott, Rhodes was beaten up pretty badly, losing several teeth and will probably be off the air for at least the rest of the week.

But then there’s this from Air America’s Web site:

Air America host Randi Rhodes experienced an unfortunate incident hindering her from hosting her show. The reports of a presumed hate crime are unfounded. Ms. Rhodes looks forward to being back on the air on Thursday.

So confused.

The New York Post has leaped on top of the pathetic robbing of soon-to-be former Wonkette editor Alex Pareene, which we had noted quite a few days ago (maybe, somehow, this makes perfect sense, since we’ve been covering the foibles of Post gossip Cindy Adams for Radar as of late). While Pareene didn’t return our requests for comment, he told Page 6 this:

The thief was laughably incompetent. Certainly less exciting than the times I was mugged for real when I lived in Bushwick.

Um, well, if the robber was incompetent, then why didn’t Alex defend his girlfriend, or even stand up to said robber? His girlfriend has said Alex knew the robber was using a fake gun, so why didn’t he fight back? We demand more answers! Now! Before Alex retreats to the safe confines of NYC!

The City Paper adds more depth (a first!) to Big Head DC’s recent articles regarding Alex Pareene’s total lack of ability to defend himself: 

Standing in the kitchen of her Petworth apartment early Sunday morning, Ally Kearney saw a shadow pass through the doorway of her bedroom. It was about 2:30 a.m., and she had just come home with her boyfriend, Alex Pareene, better known as the blogger Wonkette. Kearney told Pareene she thought someone was inside, and he yelled out at the intruder. Instead of booking with his loot, a young man in a white hoodie walked into view carrying Kearney’s purse. He announced he had a gun and instructed the couple to get on the floor.

They obeyed, although the gun was obviously a finger stuffed in a hoodie pocket, Kearney says. She asked the man to leave behind the camera in her purse.

Obligingly, the burglar plopped down on the floor and began fishing out the purse’s priciest contents: the expensive camera, an iPod. Despite respecting Kearney’s request, he tried to stay tough, making threats along the lines of “‘Stay on the floor, or I’ll pop your girlfriend,’” Kearney recalls. After a few moments, the man handed over the purse and said he’d just take cash. He scored about $50 from Kearney and another $30 from Pareene’s wallet. Read more…

Florida state Rep. Bob Allen’s trial, which was slated to begin tomorrow, has been postponed because his lawyer needs more time to prepare. Heck, who wouldn’t need more time to prepare when your client allegedly offering to pay an undercover black cop $20 in exchange for the opportunity to blow him in a public restroom? And then your client later says that he offered up that service because he was scared of a black man. That poor lawyer’s gonna at least need until hell freezes over!
