Long-time Big Head DC friend Deborah Jeane Palfrey passed away this morning at her mother’s home in Florida. Police reports are classifying the death of the “D.C. Madam” as a suicide. Palfrey had previously been found guilty of racketeering, money laundering and two counts of using the mail for illegal purposes. It is believed that Sen. David Vitter and other politicos used the services of Palfrey’s escort business, which she always defended as a “fantasy” escort business.

Sorry to hear this sad news. Why can’t life be a bit easier for those who struggle? God bless you, and rest in peace.

Once again the little person that the powerful, money spending , desires needed put into business has now been pushed to the point of no return. My heart goes out to her Mother & all of her family. All of the trash pushers on this & other sites, I hope it satisfies your evil desires. My heart aches for the pain Deborah suffered. We can not know the despair unless we could walk a mile in their shoes. She was vilified needlessly & has now gone beyond the pain, I hope.
Computers are great for communicating but there has to be a stop to some people spewing their vile & venom at the cost of another human.
    It has to stop!

I followed your coverage of the D.C. Madam for a long time and always felt you were one of the only places that gave her a fair shake while everyone else jumped on her and called her many vile names. It’s sad that this woman felt so helpless that she had to take her life. She got labeled as the sinister one while big money and politics continues to rule. It is just so sad that a woman who seemed so full of life before this mess had to resort to this. I hope others will feel her pain but the average person will just call her a “whore” when she was a very good businesswoman and I believed her. She was not the one engaging in the acts, whether fantasy or not. I feel for her family and hope her mother did not witness this.

sad indeed. it’s strange that they are writing this off as suicide so quickly since she has stated several times that she would be murdered and it would be covered up as a suicide…

How unfair. My heart gos out to her mother and I pray for her. She didn’t deserve this.

The prosecutors should be ashamed at their hypocrisy. I pray it haunts them for the rest of their lives.

Lastly, Where were her supporters? This poor woman was going to loose everything and go to jail for years. Those that have earned the most from liberalizing adult entertainment should have stood behind her and guaranteed her financial wellbeing for haveing to be a martyr in this battle. Shame to you as well.

At the very least you should now stand up and help this poor womans mother.

Adrian– it is a twisted web that weaves itself through the hallowed halls of our democracy… it is sad that her elderly mother had to find her in the manner that she did; sad that she thought this was the answer to her problems; sad that she could have been a victim of the machinery her business catered to… and how ironic that you mention Sinclair and Obama, given that her civil attorney is also Larry Sinclair’s attorney.

This is so sad. But sometimes taking your own life is the only way.

I’ve said before, if Larry Sinclair took his life, Obama would be finished. He would give up his life to save this country.

    Many of us would.

She fired Sibley way before her trial and defended herself. Try and keep up.

Then why don’t you go to the Army recruiter and sign up? You won’t, because you are really a coward.
Go send your rebate check to Larry’s Paypal account. Sibley has some back child support he needs to pay.

You’re right, of course. All she did was set up a business selling sex to powerful men. What’s so bad about that? Oh. Wait. It’s illegal.

Of course, you could make prostitution legal in the US but that would be immoral and…my head just exploded.

  1. […] And how you miss the former proprietess of a whorehouse (unless you were a stedy client) is completely beyond me.  But www.BigHeadDC.com does.  “You Will Be Missed” their blog post reads.  In all fairness, they did cover the DC Madame story and did an “exclusive” interview with her so there was a connection there…at least for the duration of the interview.  But the comments are…well…let’s just say that if BHDC is a microcosm of America then America is more than fucked up. She’s the criminal and now dead while Vitter is allowed to walk free and continues to be a Senator? Your hate should be directed at the Senators and other bigwigs who continue to get away with this.

“Get away” with what? You’re not implying that Palfrey was a victim, are you? That someone held a gun to her head and forced her to open a whorehouse and make a shitload of money off pathetic losers like Vitter?

Both of them are/were criminals. Palfrey didn’t have to kill herself. She made a choice. There’s nothing brave or empowering about killing yourself. Or about running a whorehouse. Or visiting one. So why hold Palfrey up as some kind of hero?

These are the same people that hold Laretard Sinclair in high regard. “Great American Hero” some of his delusional followers have claimed. I should know better than to read this shit while I’m eating. My poor keyboard. Note to self; have a trashcan handy while reading this board.

GREAT MINDS THINK A LIKE. Do you really think after the SPITZER
controversy, they (those high powered senators) would allow her to go public?

They say she left a suicide note, (yeah right, one they made her write) just before the assisted suicide. Well! she’s out of here.
