Pat Buchanan got so riled up during a discussion last night about Geraldine Ferraro’s controversial comments that he yelled out “shut up” at pundit Keli Goff during an on-air debate. Liberal talker Rachel Maddow ended up scolding him for the outburst, and MSNBC host Dan Abrams was noticeably shaken:
What did you think of Buchanan’s style?
Rachel was talking on top of Pat. She was not willing to listen while he was talking. It unfortunate that Pat said “shut up”. I think what he meant was “will you let me finish please”. Rachel was disrespectful and its making this all about race. You may not agree with Pat but at least listen to him. After all we did listen to Rachel. Mutual respect and improvement in listening skills all the way around. I don’t know what Pat was trying to say because Rachel was talking on top of him. Can someone teach Rachel some listening skills please?
And MSNBC should let the conversation be open and honest.
Buchanan was set up to look like the bad guy because he wasn’t in studio.
Nothing like a good ring match, I have seen Keli Goff on other show, someone needs to tell that bitch to shut up! Goff, Amy Holmes and Jamal Simmons never know when to let others on the panel have thier turn to speak. What do all the three have in common… Barack Obama supporters! Yes, even the out spoken conservative loud mouth Amy Holmes. Frankly, as soon as I see any of the three on a panel, I turn it too another Network. I have stopped watching CNN coverage on the election because of them. Sorry to now see Goff on MSNBC.
I saw the clip myself last evening, Keli Goff who was a panelist had already had her say, and Pat B. was expressing his opinion It was actually a fact that Keli kept interrupting Pat while he was talking. He had been quiet while she had expressed her views. And the minute he was to have his say, she is the one that started the argrument. Republicans usually want to have their say (Sean Hannity, etc.) and are usually so animated to interrupt others to get their point across. But that was not the case in this little adventure. I’m with Pat B. What he said was not very mannerly. But he was clearly in an argument and he was just making his case.

I saw the whole 18 minute video, as I am sure its on MSNBC videos, Keli Goff is was out of line, not factual in here statement. I’m not a Buchanan fan, but the man is very smart and knows politics.

I agree with Ellen. Kelli had her say, without a peep from Pat. As soon as he started to speak, she jumped all over him, and wouldn’t let him speak. It never looks good for someone to yell shut up at someone on tv, but she deserved to be told to be quiet. You could hear Dan telling her to be quiet. Pat is like the grandpa. He is smart and knows politics, but he isn’t going to be disrespected by a young wipper-snapper interrupting him. Especially when he was repsectful and let her have her say.

While Pat had a right to be angry that he wasn’t able to speak, his word choice was unfortuante, though not unexpected. Pat Buchanon has always shown himself to be a vain, self-loving, close-minded, partisan conservative. If you don’t agree with him, you don’t get any respect from Pat B.
Any Clinton supporter should seriously look at the company they are beginning to keep. Bill Clinton going on Rush Limbaugh begging for votes. Clinton supporters loving Pat B’s comments because they are anti-Obama.
Why do you think some of the largest conservative voices of our generation are suddenly supporting Hillary Clinton? They want her to keep winning to extend the Democratic race, so John McCain will win and extend Bush’s legacy. They want her to be the nominee because they know how to beat her. They know her countless scandals. The know that most of the American people are a little nervous about bringing the only President to be impeached in the last 30 years back into the White House. They know that 48% of the population already views Hillary as unfavorably.
Beware the company you keep. Even if Clinton somehow, miraculously wins the nomination (with help from stats like the 24% of Clinton’s vote that came from Republicans in Mississippi, and the 15% of Clinton voters in MIssissippi who would be UNHAPPY if she were the next President). These votes won’t be with you in the general election. It is a risky path to take to win the Democratic nomination at all costs.

Most of the journalists on msnbc are obama supporters.Way to go pat!!!! I use to watch all the shows on msnbc until recently.I heard that Tucker is no longer going to be on the show. Matt - Pat’s comments are NOT anti-Obama. That is why he is coming across better then most in the news lately. He is going to the facts, not partisanship. He has given kudos, and blame to both candidates, when it is deserved. The only reason he comes across as anti-obama to obama supporters is because he dares to speak negatively at times about Obama.
Same reason so many people thought the SNL skits were pro-Hillary. SNL made fun of BOTH of them, but the mere fact that they dared criticize Obama made everyone think it was PRO hillary.
