“What I find offensive is every time somebody says something about the campaign, you’re accused of being racist,” Geraldine Ferraro has said in response to the attacks on her by organizers for Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign for president.

I have to say I agree with Ferraro on this issue. I don;t agree with her on a lot of issues, but she makes sense here.
She is not backing down either. I’m proud that she speaks her mind.
As a Hillary Clinton supporter, I am very, very worried that these comments will be the last straw for our girl. I don’t think America is going to like these comments, true or not. If Hillary doesn’t fire her, I don’t know if she can take a hit like this.

HE should point out that Hillary Clinton was major supporter for his “CURE”. Gave valuable time as first lady and being recognition to his cause. I wonder if he will direct Obama to call her actions into question there?!

Obviously, Axelrod is raising the race card. He’s shameless.
This is a pattern for the Obama campaign. Any time sometime a statement is made that Obama’s camp does not agree with, Obama’s campaign or a surrogate brings up the race card.
I voted for Obama in Virginia, but I am not going to vote for him if he whould be the nominee. This campaign using race is not my idea of bring the country together.
In fact, of late, the more I have seen from his campaign and supporter, the more turned off I become. Seeing David Axelrod’s actions today, I just finished donating $500 to Hillary Clinton.

Kevin, I second that. I voted for Obama in New Mexico. I would not do it again. Obama campaign using race card issue has really been bothering me too. I have been noticing it more and more. Jamal Simmons, Obama support/surrogate person on CNN does it all the time.

Really, I think it was very selfish of Obama to throw his hat in this race. He just finished campaigning for the Senate. If things happen to go Obama’s way, I’m hoping Hillary will enter the race as an independent. But I’m afraid she will not want to divide the party.
I am sickened by Geraldine’s words. I supporter her strongly throughout the 80’s and in 84. I have voted for, and even donated and made phone calls for Hillary this election.

Well you could be right, because last year I do recall Bush saying, before all of the Obama mania started, “Hillary will be the nominee, but a republican will win.
That statement has worried me for a while now. Does this mean that the Republicans are going to steal the race for the White House again? So if that be the case, I would rather for Hillary, to be the nominee. The Clintons would never allow them to get away with this.

Glad to see others are thinking the race card bit too. I voted for John Edwards. Obama used the race card at the SC debates and got away with it. The media never called him out. In fact, the media has given Obama a free pass still!
Clinton and Edwards agenda was almost the same, if she doesn’t get the nomination, I’m swinging our to McCain. My opinion, if Obama is using the race card now, he will be using it in the White House also. After taking into consideration, what has been reported with respect to, Jeremiah Wright, and Trinity United Church of Christ — Barack Obama’s White House campaign’s fury, over Geraldine Ferraro’s, remarks, is at the very least, hypocritical!
Furthermore, Samantha Powers, did not in fact resign with regard to the “monster” comment, but for the statements she made regarding the Iraq troop withdrawal!
Clearly, Barack Obama, wanted to avoid a similar situation, like NAFTAgate!

BARACK OBAMA SUPPORTERS FORCED CHARITIES TO RETURN NEEDED FUNDS

At 7:45 PM on 3-11-08 I received a call from the local news reporter that I had present the $5000 checks to the Salvation Army and The Boys and Girls Club of Duluth informing me “I just thought you should know that we got a letter from the two charities you donated the checks to stating that their Boards had decided to return the checks to WhiteHouse.com because they charities felt it was just to controversial.” The reporter went on to say, “you have always been forthcoming in regards to this I thought you would want to know and post his information on your blog.”
I am posting this because one, I had no idea that this had taken place, and two, because I think it is really sad that the people on the Internet decided to attack to the point that they in effect forced two very worthy charities who could have used that money to provide a lot of good for people, to give back those resources because of the level of attack and use of their names on the Internet. When I had decided to have those checks given to these two groups I made arrangements for a local reporter to get those checks to them without any publicity, and to think that those on the web call themselves decent human beings yet would go to the extent that they have to cause these groups to have to give back money that could have helped a lot of people.
I will contact both charities tomorrow for an official statement as to when and why the checks were returned if they wish to provide it. The local reporter stated “it is our understanding that both checks were returned to Whitehouse.com last week.”
This news makes me want to puke at the way Barack Obama supporters demonstrate their total disregard for those in need.
You know what? I have voted, called and donated to the Clinton campaign. I worked hard when Geraldine Ferraro was on the ticket in 84, when most of you probably were not born yet. So excuse me for being upset that they seem to be more focused on bringing Obama down than they are about solving the problems of the American people.
What have you done to help get Hillary elected?

This Larry Sinclair chairty thing, I fault the chairties. A donation is a donation, no matter the source! I give to the Salvation Army during the holidays, but no more. The man was trying to do something good. Nice to see a charity picks and choices who it take a doantion from.
