Big Head DC has received credible information indicating that the now infamous Sen. Barack Obama picture, which shows him wearing traditional Somali garb in 2006, was posted on at least one conservative Web site several hours before Matt Drudge highlighted the photo. It seems highly likely that the photo was forwarded to Drudge from one of the conservative Web site writers, or he saw it on his own, and then he posted a story regarding the picture. To seal the story, he may have decided to falsely claim that the Sen. Hillary Clinton campaign had ties to the picture’s distribution.
No Clinton campaign staffers have taken credit for spreading the photo, which, as Big Head DC noted today, was initially published in August 2006 on an African news Web site.
Drudge has not responded to requests for comment.
I think Obama released the photo to Drudge. Here’s why: He was quick to play victim and without any evidence, shamelessly accuse Hillary of divisiveness. What is divisive about a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing unless you frame the discussion of the photo as divisive? He would have been more believable had he said, “So what, no big deal, Hillary and many other politicians have worn the traditional clothing of countries they visited.” Instead, he whines, as usual, and Obama lovers everywhere feel sorry for him and send him money to get even with that mean old Hillary. Meanwhile, the media stops giving Hillary headlines for handing Obama’s ass to him the last few days. Bitch is the new Black. You go girl!

No Clinton staffer taking “credit” for it is evidence of anything? Wow. Doesn’t get any weaker than that.
By all means, let’s assume that they would try to take credit and lose their jobs immediately.
Nevermind that the Clinton campaign has a long history of crap like this.
Why is this site so anxious to have it be someone else? Is it affiliated with the Clinton campaign? Because these two articles are pretty weak, even by internet standards.

Umm… isn’t it noteworthy that it’s been over 24 hours since this story sprang up, and no one in the Clinton campaign has denied that someone working for them sent the photo to Drudge? That little nugget is a bit more relevant than the fact that no one working for Clinton has taken credit for it. Of course no one is going to jump to claim they sent it to Drudge. Why would they? More importantly, why wouldn’t they emphatically deny they didn’t send the photo to Drudge unless they were afraid that proof to the contrary would subsequently appear?
