The AP follows up on Big Head DC’s lead. Implications that Matt Drudge cooked a Sen. Hillary Clinton campaign for president connection to the Sen. Barack Obama Somali dress story loom large:
The gossip and news Web site The Drudge Report posted the photograph Monday and said it was being circulated by “Clinton staffers” and quoted an e-mail from an unidentified campaign aide. Drudge did not include proof of the e-mail in the report.
“I just want to make it very clear that we were not aware of it, the campaign didn’t sanction it and don’t know anything about it,” Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said in a teleconference with reporters. “None of us have seen the e-mail in question. If anybody has independent reporting that they’ve done on it I would welcome it.”
One has to wonder: If there truly was a mean-spirited campaign e-mail belonging to a Clinton staffer touting Obama’s costume, wouldn’t Drudge have released the evidence by now?

CNN reported that this photo has been going aorund the internet for months
Some news sites are incorrectly stating, “The picture showing Obama in a turban during a visit to Kenya in 2006 first appeared on the Drudge Report website today.”
so what is Obama promising Drudge, HuffPo, MSNBC and his growing list of media supporters?
Isn’t it obvious that Drudge made up the e-mail!?
Congrats, Big Head DC, for nailing another one BEFORE the mainstream, but when are they going to start crediting you?

AP and CNN were cynical of Drudge’s alleged source as well. Conservative rags and Obamessiahs were the ones I saw jumping on this story. Ironaically, Obama was smeared for the general, but used Drudge to hurt Hillary’s image for the primary.

Rob, you really need to start making it look a little more believable when you post multiple comments under multiple names. I mean, talk about sloppy fabrication. If you think that anyone believes that 6-8 legit commenters who vehemently agree with your unverifiable accusations all posted 2-5 minutes apart starting 7 minutes after you posted this, you’re as deluded as Senator Clinton is.
