If they want to learn about hooking up they should just follow a few Republican congressmen around. That is if they want to learn about grown men in diapers, men seeking men in bathrooms, unhealthy interest in underage male pages, etc….
Did you see Sen. Vitter walking in to the SOTU last night right behind Obama and Kennedy? He looked just as happy as he always does.
Big Head Rob, you raise an interesting point: Why did Larry Craig and Mark Foley get “thrown under the bus”, while David Vitter escaped relatively unscathed? I understand Foley getting booted - the underage part of it is pretty awful for mainstream America. Event though in Foley’s case it seems like the Republican leadership knew of his behavior and protected him as long as they could, once the general public found out about it, he had to go. They didn’t have a choice.
But what about Larry Craig? It’s not like a grown man in diapers is any less “deviant” than grown men seeking the company of other like minded males, but Craig was booted almost instantly. Why?
