“A Nevada judge said Monday that Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich must be included in Tuesday’s candidates’ debate in Nevada,” the AP reports. “Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson said if Kucinich is excluded, he’ll issue an injunction stopping the televised debate.”
Debate host MSNBC had initially invited Kucinich to take part in the debate, but later told him he couldn’t. The reason: He’s not a credible candidate.
Poor Kuchinich. All he wants to do is eff that hot wife of his in the Oval Office but the man keeps keeping the little guy down.
The leaders of these debates feel that he simply takes time away from the person who may actually be the next POTUS. Is that a fair decision for a network to make, or is our democracy being challenged by MSNBC honchos?
BHR, the system sucks. Kuchinich knows he has no chance. He gets branded as kooky, crazy, whatever but the networks should at least try to make an attempt to include people who are still technically in the race. If they don’t, then they are just as bad as the current political process. But as I’m sure we’ll all aware, the networks ARE just as bad anyway!
Well, they did invite him, then disinvited him. They had it both ways. Not that it’s right, of course, but, remember, there are dozens of people running for president beyond even the biggest losers in the current race, and the networks have to make cut-offs at some point.
