Keith Olbermann began writing for the liberal Web site Daily Kos as of yesterday, while continuing his duties moderating presidential debates and anchoring MSNBC election coverage alongside Brian Williams. We’re not trying to be partisan here, but isn’t this all a bit confusing? Liberals frequently complain about FOX News blurring the lines between news and punditry all the time, so doesn’t Olbermann deserve some renewed scrutiny?

I was beginning to think Earth is actually a form of hell, with “Billo the Clown” and Rush Limbaugh able to pollute the airwaves without rebuttal, but then someone told me to tune in MSNBC again (after Ashley Banfield went and neo-con apologists like Tucker Carlson got their own shows, I stopped watching it). Glad I did, and thank the godz of the Fourth Estate there IS someone like Keith Olbermann who’s not afraid to show that it’s not between “liberal” or “conservative”, it’s between being smart and having common sense (his way) or being stupid and arrogant (Bill O’s and Limbaugh’s way).
