Filed under: CNN, Shocking, Mitch McConnell

mitch-mcconnell.JPG“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell found himself in some unlikely company last week when a CNN promo for legal pundit Nancy Grace spliced an image of the Kentucky Republican between what appears to be convicted dog abuser Michael Vick and tabloid-frenzy missing woman Stacy Peterson,” Roll Call reports.

McConnell’s office reportedly had to alert the network of the error before the ad was pulled.

Big Head DC has the screen grab, at right.

Obviously this senator said or did something behind the scene that indicates he is a threat to the establishment. He probably threatened to expose people. So naturally they have their CNN propaganda machine trash him, thereby destroying and discrediting him.

They’ve been doing it to Ron Paul, because he constantly exposes them.

What a shock, they make the mistake about a Republican. Of course, since they don’t mention the affiliation of Democrat politicians who get indicted or convicted, its inevitable that this happens to a Republican.

There is actually a good chance that labeling Mitch McConnell as a criminal is not an error.

    From October 2007:

“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is pushing “$25 million in earmarked federal funds for a British defense contractor that is under criminal investigation by the U.S. Justice Department and suspected by American diplomats of a ‘longstanding, widespread pattern of bribery allegations.’” McConnell has taken at least $53,000 in campaign donations from the contractor’s political action committees and employees since his 2002 re-election.” (source)

People in the Senate are re-elected every 6 years, meaning Mitch McConnell is up for re-election in Kentucky this year.

The company he has taken the money from, and is giving $25 million tax dollars to, is a British defense contractor called BAE Systems.

“In June, BAE confirmed that the Justice Department is investigating possible corruption in its Saudi Arabian deals. According to British media reports, BAE set up a slush fund with hundreds of millions of dollars in a Washington, D.C. bank to bribe Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan in order to win weapons contracts.”

Prince Bandar bin Sultan for contracts… Mitch McConnell for taxpayer cash.

They were just jumping the gun - this guy is a crooked as they come. Pretty typical for a Republican though. Surprised CNN’s corporate masters haven’t blown a fuse yet.
