During his hosting duties at last night’s Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest had the opportunity to interview NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Seacrest started off by visibly offending the mayor after introducing his daughter as his lady friend. Bloomberg had to correct Seacrest, and note that the teenage girl was his daughter.

Then Seacrest recovered, asking Bloomberg whether he will run for president in 2008. Bloomberg responded definitively that he will not. He said he cares about the issues, not about personally being president.
