Big Head DC hears that FOX News will hold a special “candidate forum” with the top Republican presidential candidates from New Hampshire on Sunday, January 6th. More details will follow shortly.
Update, 1:50 p.m.: Official release, after the jump:
Five Candidates to Participate in First-In-The-Nation Presidential Forum on FOX News Channel
New Hampshire Republican Party hosts the First-In-The-Nation Presidential Forum only two days before historic New Hampshire Primary.
Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Republican Party is pleased to announce that five presidential candidates have accepted their invitation to participate in the First-In-The-Nation Presidential Forum on Sunday January, 6th, 2008. The 90 minute forum will be presented live on FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX News Radio beginning at 8:00pm ET, live from the campus of St. Anslem College in Goffstown, New Hampshire. FNC’s Chris Wallace will moderate the Forum.
Fergus Cullen, Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party said, “New Hampshire Republicans are pleased to offer our Presidential candidates an opportunity to speak to voters of New Hampshire and across the country before the presidential primary just two days later.”
David Rhodes, Vice President, FOX News Channel said, “We look forward to presenting a serious discussion of the issues. The Forum will be a vigorous exchange as candidates make their closing arguments of the New Hampshire Primary.”
Candidates confirmed to participate: Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Governor Mike Huckabee, Senator John McCain, Governor Mitt Romney and Senator Fred Thompson.

You can pretend he doesn’t exist but, you will be wrong
You can pretend he doesn’t have supporters, you will see them
You can hope his supporters won’t show up, but they will
The Revolution will not stop with Ron Paul
I can’t find anything official about this? What is your source and where did you see the release?
Thanks in advance,
Chris Brunner
No such press release exists. See for yourself:

Here it is. It’s in the Associated Press:

Chris Brunner is an idiot. I just wanted to note that bit of information for the record. It’s going to be printed in the AP tomorrow, I hear.
No, you’re obviously an idiot. Chris Brunner has posted a link to where the AP already printed it.
The AP picked it up from this site — hours after this site published it.
this thing will backfire and only create more support for Ron Paul - it will help highlight everything he speaks about, and really help to motivate his base.
If the mother fuckers exclude paul for someone like tompson… fuck you fox you bastard shills
Thompson over Paul? You’ve got to be kidding me… Paul has far more support than Thompson does and much more momentum. Thompson isn’t going anywhere, expectations were far too high and he delivered far too little after declaring his candidacy.
This is rediculous and will only backfire at Fox like all their other attempts at discrediting Ron Paul. If this debate excludes Ron Paul I could only imagine the hundreds… possibly thousands… of disgruntled Ron Paul supporters protesting the debate to show who the REAL republican candidate is.
Something like that would only unify all the Ron Paul supporters even more and raise him even more money… Which ironically is something the other candidates are having problems doing
A clear example is Huckabee’s wannabe Ron Paul moneybomb that raised a whopping $75,000 dollars today… Ron Paul makes more than that on days without money bombs haha
RON PAUL 2008!!!
It would make sense to include Ron Paul. I am sure this is a misunderstanding.
I am from New Zealand, but feel that the election of the next president of the United States will effect New Zealand in the same way as the majority of the word, our current Prime Minister is a woman called Helen Clarke and even though she is also the object of reticule in New Zealand the simple fact remains, which is she is part of the labor party, which has interest in the the average people working for companies rather than giving rich companies a incentive, which keeps them in the country rather than moving abroad.
I am not saying the democratic left wing are right for the solution of the fixing the deficit in the USA, in fact i agree with the majority of republican views, and Ron Paul is the sole clear voice in the republican party, considering his ideas of reforms on the reserve bank.
Caring about the economy of the USA is the main concern of a lot of different countries, and even though it looks unlikely for Ron Paul to win, stranger things have happened and fair media broadcast may spark some sort of economic reform which will allow low-middle class American to at least continue living in the system they are presented.
Can any of you spell???
Reticule?
Rediculous?
Tompson?
Morons.
Hey Flick, where does it say in the grammar books that you’re allowed to use 3 question marks in a row? If you don’t have to use proper punctuation, others do not have to use proper spelling. ok?????!!!!?????!!!!????!!!!????!!!!????!!!!????!!!!
i must be missing a thing.
how is America helped if i vote one guy vrs another?
they promise, and then lie and NOT do the thing they
said they would.
so what difference does it make if i vote or not?
in the end, the person i voted for uncovers an shows
they are the liar.
the they do what they want to do.
EXACTLY, what or how do we get a president that works for
us?
if they all lie,….and suppose we are all fooled??
please tell me, what o we(Americans) do then?
if we vote and vote and vote,,and all we get is liars, and those people paid to be loyal,,,, loyal to anything ,anything
other than the rule of law and the people?
what do we do?
if we vote about how we want our country run,,then they
are elected/selected one way or another,,
when do
“WE (the people) RUN OUR NATION?”
seems to me , we never will have that in Washington.
good luck America.
i will miss you.
disgruntled citizen
(since the 1630s on moms side)
good luck.
Who cares what Farce News does… they’ll be buried under a deluge of mail. If we can raise 6 million in a day, we can crash their mail servers. If they decide to block all mail, well, that sends a message, doesn’t it?
I support Ron Paul as much as the next guy, but you have to be realistic. If he was to be elected, what would change? Nothing, the House and Senate would not pass any of his proposed bills or legislation. It would be a giant pissing match and nothing would get accomplished.
I don’t know whom I should support. For me,I think politics is none of my business.I am just a unimportant person.Maybe it sounds indifferent. But I surely would rather go bikeriding with my boyfriend;chat wiht my online friends on lovebiker.com.I thinkthis website is more important for me than politics.
No Sir, you do not support Ron Paul as much as the next guy. Do you really think that having 1/3 of the power on The Hill is no power? The President has a lot of influence on congress. Look at all of the garbage G.W. Bush has been able to get through congress.
It’s that type of defeatist mentality that prevents change in our government.
Leroy Proud: ” how is America helped if i vote one guy vrs another?

If you take a look at Ron Paul’s voting record, it has been VERY consistent. He’s been ridiculed in the past and has never changed his position on anything. He’s a strong brotha and that’s why i’m votin’ for him.
So who do we email in protest, they tried to do this last time Fox had a debate and sure enough they included him.
WE ALL have to email Fergus Cullen at fergus@nhgop.org and complain or call him on his personal home phone (603)-769-3131 which I found by looking in the phone book. Fergus Cullens sucks and will cuss you out as soon as you mention Ron Paul, but at least he’ll know that were not just spambots anymore.
So I wrote a letter to that Mr. Cullen guy to express my opinion. Heres what i wrote, ill get it out there.
I am a 14 year old Ron Paul supporter.
I have read articles in which I was told to email you my opinion on Ron Paul being left out of the Fox Forum in New Hampshire. I am stunned that you would do such a thing. Right now you have the chance to vote and choose a future. A future for you? NO. My future. A future in which I will have to live for years and years after, god forbid, your time is up. Now what I don’t understand is if America is a fair country, and we have democracy, you know, where the country is ran by the people for the people, then why is it up to YOU and people like you to decide who is good enough for the country without consulting us all? Let me put this into perspective. Lets say you fell ill and needed a medication to cure you. The first pill, would only give you an hour of relief. The second would give you numerous side effects. Now, as you have this near fatal illness and are suffering, neither of the pills are exactly what you need. Do you know why? There was another option. Pill three, but the woman at the Pharmacy didn’t tell you about that pill. Thats exactly what you are doing by keeping Ron Paul off of the forum. Our founding fathers layed down a blue print of a great country. A country that soared to the top with power and money. Not a country with corruption and lies in its government. I grew up and always heard grown ups complaining about politics. I DON’T want to be like them. I want to be happy with the politics in my future. Now that I can see what needs to be done, you can bet I’m going to help get the word out about it. THAT is why I am a Ron Paul supporter. You, sir, are standing in the way of not only a better future for me and many many other children my age, but your stopping a wake up for the whole country. A wake up that this country has needed for years but hasn’t gotten, because of people like you. Do you have children Mr. Culler? If you don’t this may not hit you as hard, but if you do, I’m telling you that they NEED Ron Paul in that office. They also need you to let him get his word out and not keep the spot light for the attention hungry politicians that we see plastered on our televisions day after day.
If you have read this letter, a reply would be great to let me know that you actually care.
Thank you,
Marjorie McAllister.
Ron Paul supporters need to get down there en masse but covertly, no tshirts or signs. Get into the forum and periodically chant ron paul throughout the circus show.
I’m not sure I fully understand how Fred Thompson can be included vs. Ron Paul.
Is this [Fergus Cullenone] one of those people that needs to be put on the list?
Is this [Fergus Cullenone] a name of one of those people fighting to steal the rest of our freedom and create a nation of sheep?
Is this [Fergus Cullenone] an enemy combatant from within our own boarders that we have been given the obligation to protect our loved ones from?
Mark my words, it will quickly go from a peaceful revolution to a violent one if the “powers that be” continue to thwart and skew us (those that are still free to be ourselves and choose those that will lead) into the holding pens of oppression.
This revolution will kick your ass, one way or another, and it will not be by the word of Ron Paul, but by the people that carried that word to their heart and believe it to be the only truth we’ve heard throughout our entire lives, and we are many.
Ron Paul is a peaceful man with an extreme message and would never condone the behavior of violence unless it was war declared by congress toward any enemy that had or was attacking us [you and me, our families and friends] from outside and in this case, from within them as well.
I, however am not Ron Paul and will hunt all those that stand in our way of liberty, freedom and our right to pursue happiness as long as it doesn’t harm any other or remove the ownership of their right to personal property. Then that person or persons will be held accountable.
Prepare yourself for the battle of all battles because if they continue to show themselves in the light it only means that they are already engaged in the fight. When will you be?
You can pretend he doesn’t exist but, you will be wrong
You can pretend he doesn’t have supporters, you will see them
You can hope his supporters won’t show up, but they will
The Revolution will not stop with Ron Paul
Can’t say I blame them for leaving the racist kook out.
It is a conspiracy against Duncan Hunter! They’re scared of Duncan Hunter!
First they ignore, then they ridicule you, then they beat you up and take your lunch money.
LMAO! You guys are a bunch of FOOLS! It’s a conspiracy against ROn Paul! FOX didn’t invite him! Oh My GOD it is so unfair?
Did it even occur to you that FOX actually invited Ron Paul but it is Ron Paul that has not responded? NO? Well that is reality!
Ron Paul has not accepted, you bunch of Rontards.
STFU and crawl back under your rocks.
Fergus’s voicemail box is full, but Allison’s still has room (#2).
That was a mature post #31. I would just like to say that I hope Dr. Paul doesn’t participate because FOX doesn’t deserve him and their debates are a waste of time. Paul would get more positive press if he just holds a rally nearby. The other candidates can’t compete with Pauls’ higher level of intelligence.
Where is Ron Paul? Things like this are goin to just make us work harder, Stand up longer, And fight untill our wits end.
RON PAUL 2008!
that is why we have lot of people running for senate that have the same views as paul. hopefully, this will help that sort of situation.
Ron Paul was invited to this by Fergus Cullen, he just hasn’t responded yet. The editors of the AP should have caught how this could be easily misinterpreted in their press release.
Although a mistake, it was harmless.. besides a few completely full inboxes. All said and done this is just one more example showing the incredible ferocity of Ron Paul’s support.
by the by, heres the article explaining:
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/17758
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22ron+paul+republican%22+%22running+for+congress%22
The market decides what we get… We have shown a demand for Ron Paul, now more people like him see it is safe to come out of the bushes and run for office. I believe Ron Paul has more support than any other candidate, but even if he did not win what he has started goes beyond him. He has brought back the real republican party which had been hijacked by the self-proclaimed ‘neo-cons’. There are quite a few people running for office as “Ron Paul Republicans”… if we put them in office to support the constitution (which is really Ron Paul’s only stance, and also happens to be the real job of people in the federal gov) then he will have the support he needs.
WE THE PEOPLE DECIDE!
This event will be dstroyed if Ron Paul in not let in the Debate!
How can you allow Huckabee into this “debate,” as corrupt as he is…Please see news week article surrounding him cvering up the fact that his son is a dog killer and should be imprisoned with Michael Vick…Yet Ron Paul, the only candidate that matters, be left out…
FOX News is hosting a debate in New Hampshire on Jan. 6th, in which Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson were invited. It has been rumored that Ron Paul has not been invited.
I can now confirm this.
But before you go knee jerking further please read this:

Why, Fox news do you always exclude Ron paul? Don’t you enjoy freedom…
This is really angers me!
Fauz is still in business because people watch it.Americans will do nothing about it but talk…talk, talk, talk, maybe wave a few signs,or chant something, and then go home a watch faux news.
Please New Hampshire Paulites use this dispicible unjustice to your advantage show how much support he has even though he’s not invited. I wish I could fly there my self this is disrespet to all of us. Make it big.
that`s incorrect-the voters would decide who has the majority voice hence who will be elected or reelected for Congress as well as President
[…] Smithsonian Leader Spent Thousands on Plush Travel » Ron Paul Excluded From FOX News Forum? FOX News Blamed for Ron Paul Forum Exclusion Saturday December 29th, 2007 11:18 AM by BHDC Staff Filed under: Scandals, tk, Scoops, FOXNews, Elections, Ron Paul, Chris Wallace, Fergus Cullen FOX News is facing loads of criticism from Ron Paul supporters who claim the network purposely excluded the GOP presidential candidate from participating in a Jan. 6 forum scheduled on the network, which was reported first on Big Head DC on Thursday. […]
WOW! Ron paul is NOT RACIST! Don’t know where you are getting your info from, but you are wrong!
GO RON PAUL 2008!!!!
[…] It would appear that Ron Paul is going to be excluded from an upcoming Republican Presidential Forum to be held on January 6. The forum is sponsored by the New Hampshire Republican Party and will be broadcast on FOX News. […]
I have sent an email to FoxNews telling them that I will keep track of all companies that advertise on their network between now and the Jan 6 forum and that I will send all these companies an email about my plan, should RP not participate in the forum, to:
stop watching Fox News;
delete Foxnews.com from my bookmarks list;
boycott all companies who advertise on Fox News between now and Jan 6 for the duration of 2008.
Please send a similar email to Fox News and join me in this boycott. RP raised the $$$ from his supporters. I am sure these companies will not like knowing that they will be boycotted by those who support the RP revolution.
[…] Due to the timing of this article, there was no way to confirm who will or won’t attend the brunch, but it is not a broadcast debate and has nothing to do with FoxNews. Nevertheless, a blog in Washington picked up the story, scrambled it and their “BHDC Staff” reported a list of the candidates who would be attending, which did not include Ron Paul (he hadn’t officially confirmed, due to the conflict). There still hasn’t been a clear refutation of this. Regardless, Fox still deserves whatever they get. They’ve more than earned it.
This has been faked…there was no press release and no one has excluded Ron from anything. This is the same guy who made up the story about Trent Lott!
[…] OK, I got an e-mail yesterday from Ron Paul’s people who were indignant over his exclusion from an imaginary debate at Fox News. Big Head DC made this up. […]

Ron Paul Supporters Panic Over False News Story By John Stephenson | December 30, 2007 - 14:00 ET URGENT MESSAGE! CALL OFF THE BOYCOTTS! Rumors went out that Ron Paul was being excluded from a FOX Debate and his fans freaked out, as they have become famous for doing. They called for boycotts and protests, etc. Turns out that he was never even excluded from any debate, and that the debate in question didn’t even exist. Oops! Panic buttons off.Skip ahead to December 27th, when the Union Leader reported that all candidates had agreed to the ABC/WMUR debate and reporter Garry Rayno added a confusing paragraph about Giuliani finally agreeing to the (canceled) January 6th forum, which had already been converted into a simple state GOP brunch. Due to the timing of this article, there was no way to confirm who will or won’t attend the brunch, but it is not a broadcast debate and has nothing to do with FoxNews. Nevertheless, a blog in Washington picked up the story, scrambled it and their "BHDC Staff" reported a list of the candidates who would be attending, which did not include Ron Paul (he hadn’t officially confirmed, due to the conflict). That story was picked up by the AP Newswire, which added some information that it had from a month earlier about the format being discussed. Finally, the AP article was picked up by Lew Rockwell and passed along to DailyPaul.com, with all the errors intact. Of course, a firestorm ensued on all the Ron Paul nets before the information could be verified. Immediately, thousands of messages went to FoxNews and the NH GOP protesting the exclusion. Unfortunately, the Ron Paul campaign didn’t sort out the facts before sending out a news release blasting Fox for their "outrageous" conduct, even if they did note that the information had not been confirmed. From there, the report spread into dozens of blogs and news commentaries. LGF:A few people try to point out that the story is false, but that doesnt stop them from posting lists of phone numbers, plans to launch DoS attacks by downloading the Fox News site over and over (right!), freaky rants about the New World Order, and pleas for the hotheads not to commit acts of violence. Yikes! Close call there guys. On the other side of the coin, here is some good news for the Pual fans! He’s beating Rudy in NH. Don Surber reports it was all made up by Big Head DC. __________________ "The liberals’ favorite argument is that there is no argument." […]

He had some help from Blitzer on that score. Paul said that Fox was “in a bind” now and hinted that some body of the Republican Party in NH was threatening to withdraw support from the forum if Paul wasn’t invited.
