Many of Oprah Winfrey’s fans are sounding off on her Web site, complaining that the talk show host should keep her political views to herself, and that she’s inflaming racial issues. “Oprah,” CNN quotes one as saying, “count me as tuned out for now.” Another writes, “It’s a real turn off for a lot of your fans.” “She has crossed a line and lost my trust completely,” another adds. Others are saying that Oprah’s pro-Barack Obama speeches have pitted whites against blacks. “Winfrey has artfully begun her stump speeches alongside Obama with a negative racial tone,” one angry commenter wrote.

It is ridiculous to assume that because someone has posted criticisms or praises or anything else on Oprah’s website that that commenter is a fan. Obama’s political opponents would have an strong incentive for posting on there as well.
I used to be an Oprah fan, but no more.
