Only 372 out of 435 Congressional House members voted in favor of a resolution this week that called for a recognition of “the importance of Christmas.” Democratic Reps. Gary Ackerman, N.Y.; Yvette Clarke, N.Y.; Diana DeGette, Colo.; Alcee Hastings, Fla.; Barbara Lee, Calif.; Jim McDermott, Wash.; Bobby Scott, Va.; Pete Stark, Calif.; and Lynn Woolsey, Calif., voted no on the measure. Similar resolutions earlier this year recognizing the Hindu holiday of Diwali and the Muslim holiday of Ramadan passed without any no votes.
Ramadan. Ramada is the hotel.
Thanks, Simon. I haven’t stayed at a Ramada in ages.
Is anyone surprised that the Democrat Congress would do this? They’d love to outlaw Christians altogether!
Christians are smelly.
Disregard that. I suck cocks.
Your tax dollars at work!
Glad there is nothing important for them to be doing. Not like there is a war going on or anything.
But we really need a vote on what holidays are important! I hear next they will be taking on the important “Which Harry Potter Character are You” issue and poting it to their myspace!
Yea, It is important. when my freedom to worship is being taken away by hateful, spiteful, atheists. Yes this is needed to remind these people what this country was founded on and by men & women of faith that they believe in.
God Bless America! In God We Trust! One Nation Under God!
I pray that this issue goes away soon!
I would love to know who voted present.
