Talking in a fake-sounding preacher voice over the weekend, Oprah Winfrey failed to even half fill the University of South Carolina’s 80,000-seat football stadium, where she spoke this weekend on Barack Obama’s behalf. Approximately 30,000 people showed up. Campaign organizers had hoped that Winfrey would pack the house. The only thing we saw her pack, however, were the pounds. Also, the bags under her eyes are growing ever more distracting. Get some rest, girl!

This blurb is total crap. The initial plan for the rally was for it to take place in an 18,000 seat arena, which quickly sold out, hence the move to the stadium.

The reality is they attracted 12,000 more people than they anticipated and the move to the stadium was last minute.

Awful.

We covered the story about the move to the 80K arena from the much smaller venue. The fact is not as many Oprah supporters showed up as were hoped for by the campaign.
