The latest talk making the rounds among Capitol Hill reporters is that a large news outlet has some “complex” information on Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, which the outlet may run very soon. The story is possibly being held in order to do the most damage to the Illinois politician’s surging campaign.
The speculation likely relates to the recent infamous Robert Novak column, which indicated Obama to be the long rumored sitting Democratic senator with a devastating scandal in his background.
“Agents of Sen. Hillary Clinton are spreading the word in Democratic circles that she has scandalous information about her principal opponent for the party’s presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, but has decided not to use it,” Novak reported. “The nature of the alleged scandal was not disclosed.”
The Clinton campaign quickly denied it has such information, and Obama was quick to strike back, calling the Novak article “slime politics.”
Almost immediately after the article hit, Obama began to talk on the trail about his experimentation with drugs at a much younger age.
If one is of a certain age, and did not experiment with drugs, you wonder what planet they lived on.
But is this about drugs, CGB? It was a little odd that Obama immediately brought up drugs after the Novak item, which is why speculation now lies on drugs. But could there be something else?
My guess is that if it’s being labeled as “complex”, it’s probably something political, e.g., maybe Obama’s associations with the Nation of Islam or other extremist groups, as a Chicago activist.
Good guess, but I’ve heard Barack’s scandal involves something that will make Michelle very angry. And she’s done drugs, so it’s not that.

Obama admitted to using drugs in his first book years ago, so that’s definately not it. He’s always been candid about any “drug use”. old news
Maybe its not his drug use, but what disease he has as a result of his drug use.
Damn, Americans are boring, repressed people. You skew all laws, objectivity in your favor (you know who I mean), then if anyones threatens to challenge it, destroy them with baseless, classless innuendo (i.e. Clinton’s a lesbian, Edward’s is the f-word and a commie, Barack’s secretly working for the Taliban). Don’t you think these people (with the exception of the so-called untouchables Bush, Guilianni, Cheney/Halliburton) have been completely vetted by now??? Why would you run for the highest distinction in our nation if you have a scandal waiting to drive you into permanent infamy??? It makes absolutely no sense, especially considering that since the Democrats are considered the “outsiders”, the media and the popular repubs have already done there share, and will continue to spend billions to do so, to find any dirt to make it a personality contest instead of a issues/personality based one. That’s just High School 101 there. How adults treat and talk to and about each other, you can tell how our kids have so many self esteem issues. THERE IS NO WAY TO BE PERFECT IN AMERICA!!!!! But just because you’re not, doesn’t mean that the boogeyman is always waiting in each of your closets, unless of course if you’re a Republican, since if the whoever smelt it, dealt it rule applied, you all have a lot of sick fantasies that we need to have vetted, OF YOU.
