When Karen Hughes announced in October that she was leaving the Bush administration, it was a curious development considering her boss had asked all staffers who planned on leaving the White House to do so before Labor Day. Now comes word today that another high-ranking Bush administration official Fran Townsend, President Bush’s counterrorism adviser at the White House, has resigned. What is up, folks?
