Blogger Matt Janovic is alleging Big Head DC believes Deborah Jane Palfrey, the accused “DC Madam,” is lying about her case:
Right, Sam Donaldson IS in the phone records of Deborah Jeane Palfrey’s defunct Pamela Martin & Associates, but it isn’t significant. Have you ever dialed the wrong number before? Sam’s relatives did, since one of Palfrey’s numbers was one-digit off from Donaldson’s, so she kept getting calls from them, and over-and-over again.
Cue Radar magazine’s site editor John Cook and an overzealous…BigheadDC.com who thought they had a major scoop that required virtually no investment and could bring in those advertising dollars. A source close to the story has confirmed that there was no story to begin with. But they went and ran it anyway, and have now turned on each other claiming different stories. Readers should note that they both appear to be contending that Palfrey is lying, which is pretty low of them considering she’s a defendant. That’s how it goes in this story–guilty until proven innocent, a curiously un-American contention that runs-through the affair labeled “Hookergate” by the mainstream press…
FYI, Matt, Big Head DC’s editor has spent hours interviewing Palfrey, and we have posted most every one of her lawyer’s updates on the case. No source close to the situation has ever told us “there was no story to begin with.” You need to understand that Donaldson’s inclusion in her records speaks volumes as to why ABC News may have covered up political and other ramifications of her story when the network was researching it this past Spring. Also, what if another past or current ABC anchor appears in her records? Just another wrong number? More to come…
I really don’t think there’s a story, frankly, and that the gossip side of it all is distracting from the real stories here–illegal lobbying practices, as well as people like Roughead who have high level security clearances violating the conditions of those clearances. Someone was procuring for contracts, and there could be a lot more, like using women as honey traps–that’s why they aren’t supposed to go out and meet with people outside of their circles often, particularly to go get some ass.
I would advise you and others to get-up and go visit Mr. Roughead at his apartment complex at 1200 First Street, Alexandria and go confront this asshole. His brother is the fucking CNO (Chief Naval Officer) of the entire Naval Fleets, but all you and Mr. Cook can fixate on is whether Mr. Toupee at ABC fucked a whore. Who gives-a-shit? Go confront Vitter, you’re in the same goddamned town. Make him have you thrown-out, he’d be fucking-up. Do you understand how boorish this Donaldson story is now? This is far bigger than ABC’s mishandling of the story, they’re not simply protecting their
own asses, they’re engaged in what they always do: damage control and
information management to protect the scoundrels abusing our system of government. I’ve had so many hits from the Sergeant at arms of the Senate at my site now it’s ridiculous. SAIC, NATO, you-name-it, they’re coming to check on my research on Roughead and other areas of the Palfrey scandal.
The lady isn’t lying, I haven’t detected any problems in what she’s told me yet. Not so with the rest of the media and other sources.
Why you don’t want to see this, I cannot tell, but I have my hunches. I think you’re afraid, frankly, to go after real power, and that means hitting the bagmen, people like the Watergate burgulars. I don’t expect you to listen Rob, and that’s why I think our country is basically fucked. You don’t really want to fix things, just grab some attention and a few bucks with your mimicking of the mainstream, it’s sad, but we’re going to get what we deserve as a nation because we are so goddamned wrong-headed. All that said, I’m going to keep doing things my way, hammering at these motherfuckers in power, instead of homing-in on some stupid lead that goes nowhere. You know, and this is from someone who generally likes your site ferchrissakes…
I’ve posted at “Sam Donaldson’s Digits: Wrong Number.” I think you and Mr. Cook are wrong, I’ve corresponded with a source that tells me the substance of what’s posted at Radar’s comments section for the article. No story, unless she was trying to tip-off Donaldson at that time, though I doubt she’s lying. Did she run a prostitution ring? Who knows? There hasn’t been a trial yet, and as we should all be assuming under our great legal system, she’s innocent until proven guilty.
That makes a lot of sense, Matt. On behalf of BHDC, I’d like to apologize. Rob, be a man and admit you’re wrong on this one.
I’m waiting with bated-breath. Meanwhile, there’s now a Republican Governor in Louisiana, and the GOP can retain their seat in the Senate with-or-without him. It’s possible they’ll abandon Vitter. Perhaps then he’ll start telling the truth for once in his miserable life.
