Sen. Larry Craig was discharged from the National Guard due to a medical issue involving his feet. “While my time in the service was short-lived due to a medical difficulty, I am proud to have been part of the Idaho Army National Guard and am thankful for the role it plays in defense of our great nation,” Craig once said regarding his release.
