Lawyers for the alleged “DC Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey filed a motion to compel discovery today, as a result of what Palfrey calls “the government’s unwillingness to disclose mandatory discovery materials to my attorney, Mr. Montgomery B. Sibley and me.”
“Most individuals following my situation might believe [they are seeing] the usual ‘back and forth’ dialogue and disclosures…,” she said in an e-mail received by Big Head DC this evening. “Nothing could be further from the truth. There has been absolutely no discourse, whatsoever - only silent treatment…this, combined with a variety of attempts to silence Mr. Sibley and me via exparte injunctions and behind-the-scenes protective orders, when we have gone on the offense - have created a circumstance whereby, the government has been able to keep hidden from view to date, the real facts behind the puzzling genesis and confounding continuation of my case. ”
Palfrey added once again that her case is not about prostitution. “It is about something much darker,” she wrote. “Without question, there is definitely something very wrong with this situation.”
