“The price of cocaine has increased sharply in the District and other U.S. cities because stricter enforcement has curtailed supplies on the street, federal drug officials said yesterday,” WaPo reports. Which is bad news for so many people in this town — from politicos to socialites to the common riff-raff you might find at a blogger happy hour, this is one story that affects everyone. With the price of gas skyrocketing and the dollar continuing to slip, how is this city going to survive? We are scared. In fact, our teeth are grinding. No more bad news!

Hey guys. You know who this is. I’m blogging from a South American hostel. I like to keep my money taped to my crotch. Yeah, you know who this is.
So, I don’t usually comment on Rob’s blog but I ALWAYS read. Yeah, so this is really sad news. It’s not that I could ever afford coke in the first place. But now that the price has gone up, the women I sponge off of may not be able to afford blow either. Maybe, while I’m here in South America I’ll try to sleep with some drug cartel henchmen. Maybe they’ll give me an eightball or two to strap to my ass for the flight back to Gaithersburg, MD.
