Sure enough, the McCain campaign denied any involvement with the Abrad2345 ads. It’s relevant to note that of all the candidates supposedly attacked by the unhinged Giuliani supporter in the ads, only the “attack” on McCain becomes an ironically clear-cut comparison between McCain the heroic POW and Giuliani, the draft dodger, in its tagline: “Rudy: No war hero.” In vying for the same set of national security Republicans, this was Giuliani’s one vulnerability versus McCain.
