Two University of Florida police officers were placed on leave after using an electronic stun gun to subdue Andrew Meyer, a student who was questioning Sen. John Kerry at a campus forum, the institution’s president said Tuesday. Police are trying to defend themselves by saying Meyer acted lighthearted after his arrest. It should be noted that one of the aftereffects of being tasered is a slowing of blood to the heart.
