For those of you who don’t know who Anne Schroeder is, this post still has a shot at being funny. For those of you who do know Anne Schroeder, the gossip columnist at the Politico, who’s inexplicably still on vacation, please don’t laugh too loud at your cubicle when we recount this tale.

Last week we received this message in our tip box:

Hello Anne or Whomever will read this, My name is Jeannette Scott. I know nothing about Anne Schroeder. But, I had a dream about her. Nothing terrible. But, in the dream I see her traveling around, and she is mostly hanging out with Kate Hudson (yes, the actress). I don’t even know why I am emailing you. But, I felt compelled  to say something. As I was waking up the voice in my dream kept repeating the name
” Anne Schroeder”.

Um, OK! So, thinking Patrick Gavin might be writing under the codename “Jeannette” (he looks like a Jeannette, doesn’t he?), we decided to play along and we asked for more details, like does she often dream of Anne Schroeder. Her response:

No, this was the first time I had this dream. Until my dream, I didn’t even know who Anne Schroeder was. I never met the lady. But, it seemed as though it was some type of message. I am sorry to bother you with this message. It may not mean a thing. But, I felt that I needed to say something. I am not a freak, I am just a normal person who had a dream.

By now we had to know more. Is this lady a psychic? Will Anne die?

I am from Colorado. I work as a temp. contract employee with a staffing agency. Are you just curious. Or does my dream have any relevance to anything? Thank you for your response. If my info. means nothing to anyone. Just disregard this as a “silly” email.

We didn’t mind at all. She seemed nice. Plus, what was that she said about Kate Hudson?

I have had other dreams in the past about certain events that have happened. In the dreams it seems as though I am traveling with the person or the people in the dream. As though I am an observer. I mentioned Kate Hudson. Because in my dream Anne Schroeder is traveling around with Kate Hudson (or who I think she is). But, after evaluating the dream. It is possible that Kate Hudson is symbolic of something else. Example, is it possible that Anne Schroeder is traveling with some other person named Kate and maybe Hudson could be symbolic of the Hudson River. (if this lady lives in NY).
May I ask who you are and why the interest. If what I am telling you is not relevant. I will thank you for your interest and drop the subject. I am not the type of person to email strangers. But, I thought I would put this message out to Ms. Anne Schroeder.

Then, things turned dark. We told her that we blog from DC and asked her what else she sees in Anne’s future…. To date, we have not heard back. So, Anne, if you’re traveling near the Hudson River, please be safe.
