Larry Flynt will meet the press tomorrow with special guest Wendy Cortez, a Louisiana-based escort who claims Sen. David Vitter is lying when he says the only time he cheated on wife Wendy Vitter was with girls who worked for “DC Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey.

But how do we know she’s not lying?

Well! To find out, Flynt last month arranged to have Cortez — whose real name is Wendy Ellis — take a polygraph test given by leading polygraphist Edward Gelb, which she “passed with flying colors,” according to a statement from Flynt’s office. Now Cortez is on her way to L.A. and is ready to tell her story, where she’ll answer the following questions in the flesh:

How long did her relationship with Sen. Vitter last?

What was the nature of their relationship?

Was he seeing other women at the time?

Did he speak to her about his wife?

What were his sexual preferences?

Did he practice safe sex?

I don’t know how I feel about the veracity of Ms. Cortez’s assertions, but what I do know is that America is one of the few nations on earth that has any legal-based faith in the accuracy of polygraph tests. It doesn’t prove much, nearly anyone can cheat on them, particularly if they’re pathological–they can believe their own lies. Sounds like politicians. The best thing is to rook everyone into court and have them testify under oath.
