Insiders tell us that a recent party booked at Play involving party promoter Absolute Addiction got in “big trouble with potential lawsuits against” from a major corporation. The crime? Using images they didnt have rights to.
Absolute Addiction will have details on their new Thursday night event in the weeks to come.

Rob, please get your facts straight. You should know enough people in the industry by now, than to rely on hearsay.
It had nothing to do with any lawsuit.
What you are referring to was the DC UNITED After Party which was hosted by PLAY on that Thursday that is run by Absolute Addiction. Play DID host Beckham and other players from the LA GALAXY as well as DC United. There are pictures to prove it.
But a certain envious socialite (KK) that was throwing an after party for her boyfriend DC UNITED player got in a tiff and used her friend at the DC UNITED home office to ask Play and Absolute Addiction to remove the pictures referring to their party as the OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY, which they did. It all boiled down to a womens little jealous temper tantrum.
The seperation of Absolute Addiction and Play was not based on this, but rather a mutual business disagreement. Absolute and Play still have great working relations, as Absolute Addiction’s mother company, SolarConnect designed and runs Play’s website.
Both parties are fine, and doing well. As far as calling them “tools”, its one the same level as calling someone from LNS a douchebag.

Das, Steve, Andy, ect. are just plain dorks. Ask your self the question, of all the nightspots in DC, why would anyone want to go hang out at a dive like Spank with un-cool guys like that running the door. Their parties are strictly for club armatures. By the way they are into all kinds of questionably legal practices. Im sure the FCC would love to know all about how they use programs that sniff out peoples email information.
