volantor.jpgManufacturing company Moller International has finally made your Jetsons-based fantasies a reality, announcing the production of its new M200G Volantor, a real-life flying saucer, which will set you back around $90,000.

The device can fly no higher than ten feet and can only fit two at a time, but who cares? It’s a frickin’ flying saucer, man!

Still, we can already predict that Al Gore is not going to be pleased. The ship is a bonafide gas-guzzler, consuming 40 gallons of fuel if it travels at a top speed of about 50 mph for one hour. The craft also emits an ear-splitting 85 decibels — with mufflers, this problem can be reduced to a more moderate 65 decibels, according to the company. So cover your ears, kids, the future is loud.
