Normally when sexual pictures show up online of a college kid, he doesn’t get to start out working one of his first jobs as a national television host.
But if your dad is NBC’s Tim Russert, all the raunchy pictures of you in the world won’t stop your rapid ascent to the top of the media biz.
Yes, thanks in large part to Father Tim’s behind-the-scene finagling, you’ll see his son Luke Russert (at right in a photo from his Facebook page) co-hosting Joe Scarborough’s morning program tomorrow on MSNBC.
Little Luke is just a senior at Boston College.

Our thoughts and prayers should go out to all members of the Tim Russert family.
As for the photo, so what that he is photographed with gal pals from school? Really. Maybe the kid doesn’t date and that was his most thrilling moment.
Seriously? What is the fuss about? I clearly do not get what the problem is. It seems that it is more about jealousy than anything.
EXACTLY, Sandy! Having a somewhat introverted daughter in college and seeing her come out of her shell with her friends does me good…………why judge this young man because he is in a hot tub or pool with friends! They are ALL properly attired for the occasion! But enough of THAT foolishness: Tim’s death has brought tears to this father’s eyes because he seemed such a good man and like a friend I never met. He is such a GREAT example of what a human being should be. My condolences to his family. Luke, I know you are proud of your father as he was of you!

My deepest condolences go out to Luke along with the rest of the Russert family. I’m so saddened by the passing of Tim Russert. He was an exceptional human being. As for this Luke stuff, leave the boy alone. I’m his age and nothing I have seen is any different than at any other college. He is doing nothing wrong. Peace be with you Luke. Love, Karrie
Oh for goodness’ sake…. whoever bothered to write this just sounded jealous to me.
How is that raunchy? His friends are wearing bikinis and posing for a picture. Oh wow, big offense, going to a party, jeez, what a horrible kid. Please.
Look, this is just a kid having fun with friends taking a silly photo. I’m pushing 40 but I can still remember what it was like to be his age. Ease up on the boy! The only difference is that when we were in college this stuff didn’t get on the internet. The fine young man I saw this past week on TV is the kind of son I expect Russert to have raised and to have been proud of, not some celeb party kid as this “story” portrays him to be.
Tim will be missed by so many of us there who appreciate all he has done. Tim, interview God and his son up there to find out why the world is so messed up down here. Get the facts on who is really behind 9/11 and who really won the last election.
It definitely is jealousy. Don’t you know “It’s who you know” that gets you where you want to go. Hurray for Tim and is son Luke Russert !!!!!
Do I sense some jealously with these crummy remarks? How dumb! This is a time to support a normal guy Tim’s age going through a tough time and doing a fine job in public!
The nepotism story holds water, but the author needs to get out more if he/she finds this image “raunchy.”
I fail to see what all the fuss is about.
From my vantage point the picture is of a young man with some friends having a good time.

I’ve seen more “scandalous” attire on the beach in New Jersey.
So what if Luke got an internship. He is a bright kid and was a communications major in college. Isn’t that what he is suppossed to be trying to do? Having friends in high places may open doors, but it takes talent to stay there.
It won’t be easy for Luke because he will forever be known as “Tim Russert’s son”. He will always have to prove himself. But from what I have seen in the last few weeks, he is on the right track. He is a very young guy to have lost such an influential person in his life. My condolences to the family.

) Everyone in the picture is wearin bathing suits….Why is that a crime? Nobody gets to their senior year of college without hard work and studying. If the kid worked for it and studied, a picture of him in hot tub w/girls (wearing bathing suits) is nothing to write home about. Yeah being Tim Russert’s son doesn’t hurt but he will have to prove himself on his own.

Haha. Classic case of jealousy. That’s the real world–who you know, not what you know and being in the right place at the right time. Deal with it.
