“Hot Ghetto Mess” Gets Superficial Sanitizing

The BET network has announced that its controversial “Hot Ghetto Mess,” is getting a new title, the cleaner “We Got to Do Better.”

However, the show’s content, which some say promotes racism toward and stereotypes of African Americans, won’t change.

The series was concocted by Jam Donaldson, a Legal Aid Society lawyer who lives in LeDroit Park.
