Big Head DC asked Deborah Jeane Palfrey for comment this morning on the revelations that GOP Sen. David Vitter used her escort service, and that ABC News failed to report that fact.
But Palfrey seemed less concerned with those revelations than understanding why the government has prolonged her case since last fall. In fact, she believes that Sen. Vitter’s past misdeeds would have never been revealed had the government not treated her in the ways she detailed in our previous interview with her.
“I think it is equally important to note had the government dealt fairly with me, from the onset last October/November – and perhaps, even accepted one of my several offers at settlement in the intervening months since last fall – the phone records to this day would have remained in their nondescript file boxes in my basement,” she told us exclusively. “Unfortunately, the Government’s relentless and puzzling pursuit of me and just me, i.e. none of the approximate 10,000 clients or 133 former subcontractors of my business AND/OR any of the hundreds of other escort and adult service agencies and concerns scattered throughout the Washington metropolitan area - has allowed the current situation to manifest.
“[Only] once it was obvious to me that the government wanted to destroy me – they wanted to take my entire life’s savings and my liberty from me – did my civil attorney, Mr. Sibley and I begin to contemplate the value of the phone records,” she added.
More politicians and power players who used her service are expected to be revealed in the days to come.
