I don’t think he’s drunk. I think he’s attempting to copy Mel Torme’s version of this song (”Let’s Face the Music and Dance”. But you need Mel’s velvet-fog voice if you’re gonna cop his phrasing, otherwise you sound insane.

Nope! Not a chance. He was very much sober and having a great time as was everyone else. I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself, but I was sitting at a table adjacent to his. There was so much love, happiness and joy in the air–Everyone was having a fabulous experience! The best wedding celebration EVER!

I was present at Mellon Auditorium that night. This was the first time I ever met Chris, but I watch him and Dave each and every evening. The guy was sober! Along with the rest of us, he was having a good time. We all very much enjoyed his serenade. It added to the fun. Great wedding! We have a newfound respect for him. He clearly has great affection for his coworkers.

Whomever is “Brian” and “Above It All,” we can say honestly that YOU WERE NOT THERE. We had the honor of being guests at this incredibly fabulous wedding celebration. In fact, our table was directly next to Mr. Matthews’ table. He positively WAS NOT inebriated nor were any of the other guests. Everyone was having a fantastic time. Quite frankly, because of the amazing music and ambience, there was not much time to drink since most everyone was dancing the entire time–Mr. Matthews included! Too bad for Brian and AIA who very obviously were not there!! Why is it that some folks find it so necessary to need to be negative? This wedding celebration was extraordinary.

I WAS there, and concur with Sharon and Guy. No way was Mr. Matthews drunk. In fact, we knew before the actual reception began that he was going to serenade the couple. He told the bandleader before they started playing the music. It was a planned performance! It was fun and added to the festivities of the entire evening. AND THOSE ARE THE FACTS!!

The previous two commenters are OBVIOUSLY trying to cover for Chris, who was, without a shadow of a doubt, RIP ROARING drunk. I saw him drinking and least 8 glasses of whiskey, and anyone within 20 feet could smell it on his lips. The good news is that he is a HAPPY drunk. AND THOSE ARE THE FACTS!!!!

In fact, his table consisted of friends and co-workers! Some friend you would be!!! So, I guess we could say, “it is YOU who is busted!
