So said Joe Wilson in an exclusive interview on Keith Olbermann tonight regarding the noon hour Scooter Libby verdict. He said that he was in a restaurant in DC today when his wife, former covert CIA agent Valerie Plame, called him to tell him the news.

He added that he hopes that President will keep his word to fire anyone in the White House who was involved in the leak. Dick Cheney and Karl Rove, as a result of testimony presented during the trial, are known to have been involved.

“I would have appreciated the President showing some sadness for [Valerie],” Wilson said, noting that President Bush expressed such sentiments for Libby today. “We’re hoping that Valerie will be able to get her book out…but we may have to litigate that. She has a right to tell her story.”

Olbermann will interview Plame in NYC on March 17.
