The former Wonkette goddess (we never knew how much we’d miss her until we had our face shoved into Alex Pareene’s armpits for over a year) and current Time.com editor not only tells Big Head DC that she’s planning a sequel to her Dog Days novel, but she also invites all of you to see her give a reading at the DuPont Circle Olsson’s Books & Records on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
And, lovers, just in time for Valentine’s Day (she’s so savvy!), the book is now available in convenient, easy-to-carry paperback form along with a revised cover that does not promise the donkey-on-elephant love that the hardcover failed to deliver.
“Instead,” says Ana, “this cover promises a scene in which two people kiss on the Mall covered with candy hearts bearing my name while holding tiny American flags; this only happens in the sequel.”
Suckle away, kids. Go on, you have our permission.
