Ledo’s Restaurant, located in the heart of College Park, has been chosen by the queen of talk as one of the best pizza joints in America. Who are we to quibble? That lady knows her food. And we’ve had plenty a tasty pie from Tommy Marcos’ place, which he founded in 1955.

“It couldn’t be any better” Marcos, Sr. said regarding his Oprah Winfrey experience, which saw her gal pal Gayle King visit to conduct an in-person interview.

“I have always liked pizza, but there is no pizza in the world, in the world, that I am still talking about and remembering and thinking about 30 years later,” said Gayle, an alum of the University of Maryland.

The show featuring the pizzeria will air locally at 4 p.m., and Ledo’s plans to host viewing parties on Saturday at the original restaurant in Adelphi.
