Gossip columnists and bloggers have been chattering for months now about a possible return to the District by The New York Daily News’ LLoyd Grove, WaPo’s Reliable Source once upon a time. But the snark-meister himself is a little confused by the rumors.
“Concerning my triumphant return to DC, I only know what I read in the blogs,” he told Big Head Rob today. “Otherwise, I’m in the dark–but I am always happy to have information concerning my career future.
“As far as I’m aware, I have no plans other than to continue writing my column at The New York Daily News. I miss seeing many of my DC friends, but New York is fabulous (if maybe a tad too expensive).”
He also shared a little gossip about BRAVO’s oh-so-over “Tabloid Wars” and the obsession that some weirdos had with Hud Morgan, formerly of The New Republic, then with the NYDN, and now with Men’s Vogue.
“Hud not only stole the show,” teased Grove, “he WAS the show.”
Happy Friday, kids.
