We guess Lou Dobbs isn’t going on vacay this summer, because he’s complaining about the Congressional summer recess — five-weeks off for what he calls a “do nothing Congress” — but a few Congressional members do have some plans for fall. Congressional wish lists are slowly trickling in on The Hill’s Congress Blog:

Georgia GOP Rep. Lynn Westmoreland:
“I hope we can get our budget stuff done. I’d like to see us look at tax reform. I’d like to see some stuff on the Fair Tax, or at least some hearings on it.”

Texas Dem. Rep. Charles Gonzalez:
“When we come back I hope that we slow down and reduce the political factoring that goes into everything that’s done. That’s my post-recess wish.”

Michigan Dem. Rep. Bart Stupak:
“I hope that they do nothing further because I don’t want them to do any more harm to the American people.”

You can bet that Santa’s gonna have to check these lists twice and thrice.

P.S. Hill blogger person at the controls, could you please ask these glossy Congressional members to have a little sass? It’s summer, for Pete’s sake. Let’s feel some heat.
