So, we’re in DC and we’re trapped, thanks to this bastardly snowstorm. We’ve been told our front walk has 14 inches, but we’re not going to go out and look. In fact, we’re not going to give this storm the time of day. You might think we’re being tough on Old Man Winter. Well, we’re not, and the Post agrees with us:
The storm abruptly and rudely ended a record-setting winter of balmy breezes, budding blossoms and unusually brisk sales of convertibles. Taking its place was a dreamy winterscape of snowy mist and white- coated tree branches, some of which came crashing down this morning, obstructing major arteries such as the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and the George Washington Memorial Parkway, not to mention service on Metro’s Green Line, where a branch fell across the track, coincidentally, at Branch Avenue.
We long for buds.
